OK, this is too funny ... I am speculating here, but it seems like a new forum was created ( 2008 Christmas in July ) and a sub forum ( Pass the Pixel - 2008 CIJ ), neither of which have any "official" posts in it, and there is already a comment! I haven't been around DSP for a year yet, so not sure what Christmas in July will bring, but I am sure it will be a blast!

oh you will love it kathleen...CIJ is soo much fun...freebies...prizes and games and challenges and the list goes on...pass the pixel is where we suggest elements and such for a huge kit..which is generally given away at a chat or such...thought i might poke my nose in here and get the festivities going...lol...cheers liz

Nothing better than CIJ other than BCA, the birthday celebration, Black Friday, the first of every month... did I miss any? Can't wait.

And that grumpy old guy with the big gut and the white hair will be nosing his way into the chat ... giving away presents to all of those goody-goody two-shoes who butter him up calling him Santa Dear and I love you Santa and Santa, I'm a good girl, give me a present. And what happens to bad girls like me? Nothing. Not even a piece of coal.

Oops ... sorry ... can you tell I have issues?

EDITED TO ADD: For those of you who are new to the site, last year I had a really fun time in the chat room. Whenever Santa showed up, everyone was calling for him to give them a gift. I, on the other hand, being a rather rebellious sort, called him names, etc. It (and this post) are all in jest.

A few weeks???? Ah man, with my luck that'll be the day of my godson's wedding! I'll miss it all!! Hmmm, maybe I can sneak into a Kinko's and use my employee discount to get on the computers there for a few hours. "Oh, I'll be back to the reception in a little while. I'm going to go, um, print some pictures! Yeah, that's it."

Well, Santa didn't give me anything for CIJ last year, but I've been a really, really good girl since then and made lots of LOs and left lots of comments and spent lots of $$ here at DSP, so I hope he'll give me something this year.

Here's a link to the glossary http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/glossary.shtml. (You can also find it under Campus at the top).

I noticed it doesn't have everything on it, maybe it needs to be updated? (CIJ and BCA are not in there.)

CIJ is so much fun. If you haven't been part of one before - there are usually fabulous sales all week - every day something different - and loads of freebies - and on the last day there are chats all day long with Santa popping in and out with freebies over and above the chat freebies. Last year was my first and I remember it was so much fun!! SO... put on your jammies - don't plan on working, just purchasing from the store all week, and prepare all your food ahead of time. On CIJ saturday, there will be chats all day, so check out the chat times when they are posted and reserve the bathroom to be used by you during that time. Have all your food and snacks close by and don't miss a thing!!

Gee, why do I want to wait around for a grumpy old guy with a white beard? I already live with one who has a red beard.

okay, first eat all the chocolate in the house for the 4th of july...happy independence day, America............................!!!! mmmmm, chocolate just melts in your mouth in this heat..............and, then, will start stocking up on chocolate for cij....you know, everyone just talks about chocolate all the time around here and u have to have plenty on hand............so, will get ready for scrapping. oh....and did i mention chocolate. say...........what is your favorite cij chocolate anyway...u know, i love a good old fashioned can of chocolate frosting and a spoon...ohhhh, and better get those photos ready from last Christmas....hmmmmmm, where are they, i have tons of them to scrap.

The best thing about CIJ chocolate is that it doesn't melt! The snow and ice keep it cool....LOL.

well, if the coffee is hot enuff, there isnt any chocolate you cant eventually just melt....then, you can stir it in the coffee and drink it if push comes to shove. i am so glad i dont live in texas with those two inch cockroaches....u know, they eat the chocolate too. you are trying to eat a candy, and you see these little tiny teeth bites all over your piece. you just have to shut your eyes and swallow as fast as you can.

ROTFLMBO  Too funny and yet so true. Makes me whince just thinking about cockroaches. When I first read this, I thought you meant the cockroaches were 2 inches deep (i.e. TONS of them). Then I realized they were 2 inches LONG. Just as bad. Ewwwww. I HATE roaches.
