Many of you know I'm South African - we have a lovely, fairly new scrapping magazine, Creative Reflections, which probably few of you would see. In the latest issue there is a contest for scrapbook pages, a section of which is for a scrapping business to win a full page profile in a future mag. I saw this as a greatway to get exposure for our favourite site - DSP!

How to enter:
Create a scrapbook page dedicated to the man/men (father/husband/son's/grandfather) in your life
email your entry - they say as a high resolution jpg (hope they know what they are doing!!!) to:
showcase@creativereflections.co.za
with the subject line (copy & paste this - its important!)
Scrapbook Challange - Men - www.digitalscrapbookplace.com

Include the following information in the body of your email:
Name:
Contact number:
Title of Page:
A few lines about the significance of this page in your life - what did you most enjoy about doing it?
Brief description of the techniques used
Materials Used: (I'd just put 100% digital for this & name your program used)

Entries to be in by 14th March, 2005

A selection of entries will be published in the magazine.

I will have a crop in the chat room this week Wednesday, 2nd February @ 10.00p.m. EST in place of my regular Heritage Group. If you'd like to come along, bring ideas, kits you've seen, page for inspiration!

Good luck to you all!

Meryl,
I think this would be quite a common question.

What is the protocol for submitting pages for publication if you have used bits and from kits rather than having made them from scratch.
Is it OK just to credit the designer or website you got them from or would you have to get the designers or websites 'permission' before submitting ?
Just curious
Sue

Sue I'm quite sure its fine, but as you say make sure to credit the creator of the element/kit. In fact here at DSP there is a thread - win by being published using DSP products. Most designers would love to see the LO, I know I would :) so maye you could email them a copy or link them to it, whatever. Enjoy & take care, Meryl
