Ok got the free preview of ACDsee downloaded and downloaded some organized style categories, what now? I dont mean to sound dumb, but do I already need to have my kits "tagged" with key words like all the ribbons with the work ribbon in the files/kits?

Thanks for any help.

Congrats- you are going to love it! (Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and ever after, its a real time saver!)

No, you can tag as you go along. Here are some tutorials you might find helpful:

You could keyword but that's really taking the long way around, 'tagging' in ACDSee generally refers to assigning categories to your files. This is a more powerful way to go and faster...you can assign color categories, type of element categories, whatever you think you'll search for...and then when you're looking for stuff to play with you can use more than one search term and find just pink ribbon, or grungy Christmas tags (if you've chosen to tag with style, occasion, and element type.) Adding designer to 'author' and kit name to 'caption' lets you generate a list of files you used on a project for posting credits. We have tons of tutorials and helps over at Digi Scrap Info but I suggest starting with the videos here.
