LOL Me too! It took hours last night to look through all the specials and decide what I couldn't live without. Wish I'd remembered about the gift certificates! Oh, well, I'm *sure* I'm not done shopping this week!

Are there new specials each day? I noticed that all the products were "DSP designers" and have a lot on my wish list from individual designers, so I'm hoping some of those items might show up on sale.

Oh man, I just bought $50 worth of items last week because I was trying to get ready for CIJ and wanted a Christmas theme to my North Pole Alaska layouts. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to visit the store again! DH is going to kill me!

This kind of Christmas shopping can be addictive. No parking problems, no people running you down with their cart, no fights over the last thingamabob. Awesome!

ok, I know it's CIJ and Santa is watching, but I need to grump for a minute. Why o why is there a list of specials that takes "hours" to look through. I just spent nearly an hour looking and that was at the text only list (and browsed thru less than half), which by the way doesn't have any kit names listed. And didn't the store have a browse by category sect, I finally tracked it down in the advanced search but couldn't use the advanced search to search the 1300+ daily specials.

ok, please forgive my bah-hum-bugging. Please forgive me Santa, it won't happen again. I feel much better now and will feel even better once I sit down with a nice cup of coffee and a generous slice of cheesecake.

WOOT! Sales!!
Love 'em.....it's one of the few times I don't even mind the hair-pulling slowness of my dial-up as I browse...

Is there a possibility of getting a list of upcoming days sales referencing which/what type products may be on sale each day? I could put extra big cookies on your plate or bigger sprinkles or...or....!???!

Thank you, gintal.. We will fix the no name issue on the listing. :)

To get to today's specific items by category, go to the store manufacturer's listing, select DSP Designers in the dropdown. At the top of the listing you will see two filter categories, one for product type and the other for selecting what letter of the alpha you want to look at. :) Keep in mind ... not all items are on sale. :)

One thing that I have found really helps me. As new stuff comes out or periodically when I have some time to browse thru the store, if I see something that I know I will want, I put it in my wish list. The wish list is a FANTASTIC resource. (little cheer here for Kim, I think that was her brain child, yay Kim!) When sales are happening and you don't have time to go through all of the sale items, you can at least scroll through your wish list and catch those things that you want most. Of course, if you have time, it is always fun to scroll thru the specials cuz I always find something that snuck by me, that I just HAVE to have!

I have to agree with Chris - that's how I work too. Couldn't live without the wishlist.
Of course when there's a sale and nothing on your list qualifies, you can't miss out so you just have to go through the specials page anyway. :)

I will add another vote for the wishlist - nothing more annoying than finding that kit you really liked the day after the big sale!

Ditto, ditto! That's what I do (explains those crazy, credit-card-melting shopping frenzies when I find LOTS of my wish list stuff on sale, because then I just have to have them all!):D

I do the same Chris. As I see the new things I want, I add them to my wish list so I can easily check them out when there's a sale.

Uh oh. . . I think I broke it. I was happily sorting through specials on some of Marcee's and Rene's kits, and suddenly: only 2 specials! The IOTW and the Photobook creator! But I'm not done shopping yet!

Do you think this is a message from the Universe to GO TO BED?

Raphene- I had the same problem, but I waited (impatiently) and it is working fine now.
Seems I can't wait to spend my money here at DSP.

(The wishlist........INVALUABLE! LOVE IT!)

Yup-- I figure they were adding Meryl as I was trying to shop! And I'm delighted, 'cause I picked up several more of her Quick Clicks :-)

Of course, I also see current challenge kits on the sale list! Serves me right for being impatient :-)

I've done so many challenges lately that I was happy to take a rest while the kits rested in my Wish List, so I was able to get a couple on sale for later in the week. I've still spent over $100 this month, and there are still a few days before the sale is over. At this rate, I'll be getting a 15% reward. Don't tell DH how I got it!

I hope you gals are also taking advantage of the BOGO on the $5.00 Gift Certificate. You can buy one per order and get a free one in return. Just be patient. It takes the store at least 15-30 minutes during normal business hours to "release" your initial $5.00 GC, then it takes another day until you receive the bonus $5.00 GC vial email. This is equivalent to a 50% discount!!! Plus you'll rack up Gift Certificates you can use at a later time!

AND....don't forget the DSP Deals. There is a link to them at the top left of the store page. When you purchase a page kit per each of the 3 deals you want, you will get the "deal" kit at a 75% discount!!!

I did have a problem with Paypal not reflecting the accurate payment amount. It did not deduct the DSP Deals amount. I cancelled the Paypal payment and instead paid directly with my credit card which charged the correct amount. I did email the store so they can check into it, but you might want to keep your eyes open if you pay via Paypal.

sandygb

Bethliz - You will receive an email from the store telling you that the Gift Certificate has been released. You will then see the amount of the GC listed on the right side of your screen (under the kit thumbnail) after you log in to your store account. It will give you the current balance in your GC account. If you click on the button in the center of the GC block, the link will say "Send a Gift Certificate". At that point I think you just follow the directions to send the GC to your friends email address. I can't remember if you also need their DSP username, but I don't think you do. BTW - You don't HAVE to send the GC to a friend - you can keep it and use it yourself.

I just received my 2nd email with my bonus $5.00 GC info. This one does not show up in the GC balance until I actually enter the GC code provided in the email. LOL. It is a bit cryptic. Just be patient in waiting for the initial GC to be released, then MORE patient until you receive the followup email with your bonus $5.00 GC code.

You don't have to "send it" to yourself Julia. You just put it in your cart and purchase it. Then when the store "releases it" (like they do when you pay with a free kit coupon) the GC amount shows up in your GC balance on your account. Then you get an email with a code for another $5.00 GC code.

Don't know if you guys mades some great changes or I just am having a better day, but the sales seem much easier to understand and find!! Thank you so much.

I've started a wish list. If I understand correctly, when my wishlist items go on sale it will show the new price inside my wish list. This will be soo cool. Could be dangerous to my paypal.

Speaking of paypal, I fund my account through extrabucks. Whenever I make an online purchase, I go thru the extrabucks site first and they track my purchase and pay me a percent back in real cash to my paypal. Ebay is one of the "stores" they pay you for using. I got $12 back on one of my recent ebay purchases. If you want a link just PM me. I get a bonus when you make your first purchase.

So if I understand this correctly you can order a $5 gift certificate on *each* order and get another one for free? Maybe I'm missing something but what's to limit someone from buying 10 of these on 10 different orders (and just loading up your gift certificate balance afterwards?) Or is that just fine?

I *try* to put myself on a budget each month by buying gift certificates and using those for purchases. Except. . . . Then sales come along, and I tell myself that shouldn't count! And I discovered last night that you can't buy a gift certificate with gift certificate funds (imagine that!) so instead of using the gift certificate balance I loaded up last week anticipating CIJ, I'm still charging the credit card! Shhhh-- don't tell DH!

Man, my system is getting so messed up! 75% of my purchases usually are for challenges. So most of my filing is: 1) put kit into "ongoing challengs"; 2) do challenge, and move kit over to "awaiting bonus" folder; 3) when I get challenge bonus, move both over to appropriate folder in DSP folder.

Now I'm downloading so much stuff, I can't remember what is related to a challenge and what isn't!

I am still confused! Are the 3 kits you can get for 75% off linked to a specific page kit? Or it any page kit you buy? Or any page kit at regular price? And can you get all three at 75% if you buy three corresponding kits?

So sorry to be dense. Must be all this money that's flying around (and mostly out).

sandygb
07-22-2008, 12:09 PM
Yes Cheryl - you can get all 3 of the "deal" kits if you buy a qualifying page kit. So far, every page kit seems to qualify - whether it's a sale one or not.

EDITED to add: You need to buy one qualifying page kit for each of the deal kits...
