But oh the choice of QC will be tough, since I have 3 boys, 2 daughters, 1 soon-to-be daughter in law, 1 boy and 1 girl cat, 1 boy dog, and DS just got a female dog. We are split right down the middle!

I LOVE this QC and will be using it at least a few times. I have seen some great ways to use it, like with a family reunion, etc., by other DSP artists.

As to which bonus. . . . well, I'll just be buying the other one anyway, so either works! I'm probably slightly more eager to get my mitts on the girl one (why are girls soooo much easier to scrap?)

Question, are you using flood fill or cutting the photos to fit in the FAMILY lettering?

The way I make my qcs you can either fill all opaque and then add your own drop shadow, or select the black parts and put the photo into that, which leaves the white edge. I like to give the option, but certainly either is correct.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the question though. (?) Another answer is I do cut my photos when I'm layering them over the letters or any photo shape. But many use masks so they don't have to cut.

A flood fill is great for filling a shape with backgrounds, but I wouldn't trust it with a photo to end up where I wanted it, without being able to move it around. For this qc you can fill with photos or backgrounds in the letters.

And I've probably danced all around what you were asking - so if you think I can help further let me know!

Mine is a work in progress, as I nabbed Fionas idea of using the Q/C as part of the yearly family Christmas letter, so I will fill in the coming months as they go by, and maybe, for once, I will be ready to put those letters in the Christmas cards instead of sending them out sometime in February..!!

Thanks! I'll get those out in a minute. Later this month (aug) we will scrap teenagers and you will have a choice of two kits - girl or boy - though many parts are interchangeable - and the aop will go with either! So you'll have the choice right up front for that.

Before I get those in the store I'll run a bogo with Captivating. I'll start that after I get these last few bonuses sent out!
