For my birthday I got 2 wonderful, beautiful things.... BUT I'm getting frustrated. The first thing is a Canon Rebel XSI and I've only had a point & shoot, so I'm utterly CLUELESS on this. I'm definitely going to be taking a class, but I've been having lots of fun just playing around.

Here's the second thing & the problem. I also got an Epson 1400 printer so that I can FINALLY print out my layouts. Some of my prints have green streaks. Can anyone help me out here?

Also ~ is it normal w/these cameras for the picture sizes to be so big? I'm use to the file sizes on my p&s camera not to be large, but these are really large ~ like 4mb large. Is there something I should do in the settings to change this?

Thanks in advance and I'm so excited to get back into scrapbooking.

Yes, it's perfectly normal for your photos to be big :) .. that's the joy, you have lots of 'information' to work with when you want to edit your photos .. little ones don't have much 'info' :) ... sorry I can't help with your printer, other than to suggest you do a 'clean the cartridge' type thing .. don't know what it's called with the Epsom.

Thanks, Abby!! This is a whole new world for me ~ I'm LOVING having this new camera. The weird thing going on with the printer is if I print large like 12x12 size it's fine. It's only if I print smaller like 5x7 ~ I just printed out a 4x6 and there's no streaks, but the quality isn't all that great :(
