Well, let me tell you, that Lisa Carter has some MOVES!!! She can shake her booty like no other (and a few other body parts as well!!!). In fact, I think she should try out for So You Think You Can Dance or, since it is more her style, America's Best Dance Crew. :) She knows the words to a bunch of songs - old, new, ghetto and otherwise - and has the moves to back them up!!!! We didn't have much time on the dance floor (and the music could have been a lot better), but it was really fun. I wished you lived closer Lisa - - I could use a dancing buddy!!! I have to say, I'm quite impressed with Kim's knowledge of popular music as well! :) Our designers are just so talented - - both in and out of Photoshop!! :)

This weekend wore me out! It started with a day/night with my family and acting like a 16 year old again with my younger brother and his friends (they can't drive each other around so my BF and I usually volunteer when we go to visit). Then Adobe...ahhhh...the thrill of just entering the building is hard to describe! We set up for the crop and then Allen, Margie, Mr. OrangeSue and I bebopped our way to Oakland for a baseball game complete with a crazy cat who ran on the field and made us all laugh as the terrified creature tried to find an escape route.

The next day we were up far too early...but it was time for the CROP!!!! That was so fun. I really liked being part of a focus group for PSE and getting another mini-tour of Adobe. I didn't get much scrapping done (just one page) and didn't get to socialize with everyone as much as I wanted (there were so many people there, you just couldn't spend an hour with everyone!!!), but it was exciting being at Adobe and I loved the tutorials our designers gave (oh, and the one from Scott Kelby was pretty cool too!!!).

The best part of the crop? Well, that centered around Mr. OrangeSue...In order to win a prize, someone had to give him a kiss on the cheek. He turned bright red (but assures me now that he didn't mind) and someone did pop over to his seat and give him a smooch (and no, it wasn't Kay this time!!!). Speaking of Kay, we did take the traditional "Mr. OrangeSue and the Grannies" picture...and then Lynnette presented Chris with his very own "Flat Kay". He loved it and plans to put it at work (what will they think?!) and bring it to the next crop.

Then there was dancing with Lisa :) (how I wish I had a video for YouTube of THAT!) and staying up far too late laughing with DSPers.

The next day, Margie, Allen, Mr. OS and I made our way to San Fran to watch my Giants lose miserably. Man it was nice being around all those ORANGE people!!!! I saw this woman wearing an orange, knee-length Chinese silk coat - I WANT ONE!!! Then, we went to a movie and stayed up far too late talking again! :)

All in all, it was an awesome weekend. Both Mr. OS and I are quite tired but very happy. DSPers sure are great and it is always so fun to get together and laugh with everyone.

Now I want to have a DSP retreat so we can all spend the weekend together in a cabin or something!!! :)

I've probably shared far more info here than anyone cares about...but hey - - I can copy and paste and use it as journaling!!! :)

I can't believe the crop I awaited with such anticipation is finally over...but man, was it fun!!!!

LOL
NOOOOOOOOOO
My kids would be mortified if there was a video of me dancing...LOL
There friends think it is great when they come over and i teach them some of the dance moves but they (my kids) are just so embarrased....I mean what 40 year old woman can dance like that...especially their mom....LOL

so it was nice to be able to actually dance. My husband doesn't dance so that is the first time in YEARS that i have be able to actually dance....even though it was for a very short period of time.
I think the people on the dance floor were shocked that i could dance too...LOL
and yes...living close to you would be so fun!!!
but i just can't leave this 104 degree weather here in Texas for the nice beautiful ocean and cooler temperatures of California...LOL

Lynnie...let's see...I can't recall anything wicked that she did. Oh no wait - - she did do the chicken dance in order to win a CD. And Cathie Marie gave us all a very brief belly dancing lesson! Kay (the head granny) made out with my BF again, as did another lady (whose user name I didn't get). :) And Margie looked awfully cute in her set of reindeer antlers!!!

I only wish I had stories from the crop....THAT I MISSED!!!! I got stuck on vacation up at the Queen Charolette Islands in Canada. The weather got bad on us and the float plane couldn't get us off the fishing boat. We ended up missing our flight back home to SFO. We had spent 5 fun filled days fishing for salmon an halibut. I was lucky enough to catch a 42lb salmon and my brother caught a 195lb halibut. I got some great wildlife, sunrise and fish pics to scrap though. Those were the pics that I had planned to start scrapping at the Adobe event. So glad to hear everyones stories from the event and I do hope DSP will plan another event there. Keep the stories coming.

I even danced, a little! It was so much fun at Adobe! I didn't want it to be over!

OK! The dancing wasn't much! They said to name a DET member by their user name and real name. Of course, I come up with Gundimom and Liz gives me a CD. But then we (Tara) realizes she is no longer a DET  so Liz has to take back the CD. But Liz says, if I come up in the front of the room and danced I can have the CD back! So, OF COURSE I DID IT! And that is a real effort for someone that has Parkinson's disease and is really worn out to begin with!

That would be really mean if we gave you a CD and took it away!!! I think Liz had a good solution and I'm so impressed that you did it!! And yes, that was my dumb fault for having all the DET (past and present) in my head...and getting confused! Doh!
