I am multitasking, mainly in the wee small hours lol. I have been a bit of an insomniac this week and digiscrapbooking has been heaven sent.

I have now a start on a few pages, I am learning hands on as I go. I downloaded a bunch of goodies from the freebies section to play with and intend on having a go sooner or later at making some myself. In the meantime. How on earth do I reduce my whopping 10meg plus files into something I can upload to here and show you.

One more thing. Is there a good place I can harvest some alternate images to use as accents, things other than buttons, ribbons etc. I was kind of hoping to find theme stuff like beads or jewellery themes, vintagey bits tec. Just little embellishment files that are a little different to the norm until I have some time to play with my collection of stored treasures.:D

Thanks everyone. Can't wait (bites nails) to show you one of my pages.:yahoo:

Glad to see youve got started on it - with this bad weather we are having here in NZ its very much inside time isnt it .
To upload your layout you can follow the instructions in this tutorial here - http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/general_uploadGallery_ep/general_uploadGallery_ep.shtml

There are lots of little accents in the various kits both in the freebies and in the dsp store - its really just a matter of browsing and finding the fun stuff you are looking for .
Im looking forward to seeing your layouts

ahh you are sweet. I can't wait till this weekend when I can have more play time!! Bit hard on the grey matter doing these things after a long day at work! These are a start anyhow, basically just playing around and finding out what all the little buttons and knobs on my old program do.

I honestly never really used it for much more than fixing and cropping photos! Thought it was way more complex to use than it really is!! Silly me. Dang now I have yet another vice to add to my collection of crafty passtimes.

Your first two pages are just lovely - I like - in the second page - the way the trees border the right edge of the page - that is unique and special.

The first page would make a wonderful cover for an album. You know - as little as 10 pages would make a wonderful album for them. :D

I know this sounds like alot, but you are already on your way.

thanks so much. You have inspired me. I am already going back and making little changes and enhancements each time I learn what a new button does !!I am going to have to be good and not play tonight, have to make my grandsons birhtday cake!! But I am really addicted.

Thanks also for the comments regarding the bush scene photo, I took it just after they said their vows. I just happened to look up into the canopy of the trees and the light was just perfect .It was such a beautiful bush setting for a wedding. I will slowly add some more pages as I get them done. Such a special album, so cool knowing its made by me, right from the photos I took on their big day through to the actual album pages

Love your pages!

The border and ribon you used on your first page was that a freebie?

I want to start a memory album of my Mom. I would love to use those.
If it is a freebie can you tell me where or send it to me.
If not where did you get it?

Hi again,

yes it was a freebie, cant remember where from. I am back at work tomorrow and will look for the file and send it to you. (when I workout how). I have been playing again this weekend and have even converted some goodies of my own to use as embellishments, from my collection of vintage images and tattoo designs!! Will load another page soon and show you what I have been up to.

Soooo addicted !!:yahoo::tup:

hmm still trying to find where it was. lol I know it was two pieces, one is a ribbon and the other is a ric rac piece. Just that both have been lined up beside each other. They would have been part of a kit from the freebies here somewhere.

Being an organised type ( yeah right not usually) I split the packs etc that I downloaded and have them all in organised folders : ie: buttons, ribbons, overlays etc . dang , a bit of a floor in that system if you need to know where they came from !!

I like that way of organizing. It sounds like it could make things alot easier to find in a pinch. And / or swap things that you may like better for a certain LO.
