For the past 10 years or so I've been scrapping calendars for family & friends as gifts. These are the best gifts one can receive and every time I'm around the calendar is pulled out in discussion. People are in awe over it.

If you would like to give someone a very special gift, this would be it. This is what I do to make things helpful.
1. Get photos from the ones you are making the calendar for. If they have a myspace page or utilize an online photo sharing, use the photos from those sorces so it would really be a HUGE surprise.
3. I do one to two pages per day for my calendars so I'm not bombarded at X-mas time.
4. I utilize Costco.com for all of my printing and their calendar is magnificant. They even have direct mailing for those that live afar making it convenient so you can do everything online and have it sent directly to your loved one (one gift out of the way!). Or you can have the calendar sent to you and take care of the gift giving yourself. The other nice thing with costco is that you can create your calendar early in the year and keep adding as you go.

Most of my images within my gallery are for my calendars and thus the reason for the same size.

I meant to do this last year but did not. I would love to do it this year for my parents/in-laws/grandparents, etc. Could you give us more specifics about the calendar at Costco? What size do you make your layouts? Do you upload online as you go? Any additional help/advice would be greatly appreciated so that I don't have to do so much research and can just get scrapping!

www.costco.com (they just changed their site so calendars are not up to date)
The calendar I use is the 8-1/2x11 landscape calendar
I make a project and name it for whom I'm making it for
I add the pages as I go. If I want to change things around I have that option. So I can really start this at the beginning of the year and it will keep until I'm ready to have printed.
You can also add dates to the calendar
Also on the back of the calendar are thumbnails of all the pages
I like to include a photo CD of each page and enclose it with the calendar.

Hopefully this answers a lot of your questions. Let me know if you have any more.
