GC August: Not So Ordinary Scenery

Ok guys....this one is going to take a little bit more work and effort than my usual challenges, but I KNOW you guys are up for it!!!! Here is my challenge......

1. Pick 2 or more UNRELATED photos....preferably one "scenery photo" and one "subject photo".....example....scenery photo: a picture of a field and subject photo: a picture of someone sitting on a couch
2. Create one "scene" from the two photos.....example: extract the person on the couch and blend it into the field so that it looks like this person is hanging out on a couch in the field.....
3. Use any DSP products: this can be fonts, background, elements that you can get in the DSP store
4. Post a layout and link back in this thread by the end of August!!!!
and you could win a $3.99 store coupon.....

Reading the first post I'm not sure if it's okay.
I used 3 pic's to make 1 new, but they're all weddingphoto's from my dd, so they are related :doh: and I did use kits from the store, but added some freebie stuff too :eek:

Kay..you're surfer dude is fantastic! And I must give my apologies here to evergreen! After viewing Kay's LO, I see she credits evergreen for the title work idea. I had not seen your LO, evergreen, until then. I did not mean to slight you by not mentioning you in my earlier LO. I read the idea/technique for the title work in a recent magazine.

This LO has been sitting in my gallery for a while and never knew what to do with it!! Here is a little background on the LO....took the picture of the "Sphinx" at the Luxor in Las Vegas during Lauren's photo walk at the 'vegas crop in febuary. The picture of the hills was taken around 6a.m. at the las vegas airport afetr being stuck there all night. And Vallie gave me the title

OK, here is my layout. I added a bit of stiching along one side so I hope it still qualifies as a graphic layout, but I did follow the rules by blending two unrelated photos. I used a favorite outdoor photo of an old tree growing near my home with a haircare advertisement.

I liked the eyes as looking glasses that was the example in this challenge explanation, and it flowed with layouts I wanted to do for my daughters anyway, so I scraplifted it...kind of. Hope it's ok.

I actually made this layout for ChristineG's Goodies with Gundi Challenge but Christine suggested that it may fit into this challenge too. So here goes! I'm glad she suggested it because I wasn't aware that this challenge existed! I guess I had better take another look at all the different challenges available. Each one seems to cause me to stretch a little more in developing new scrapbooking techniques!
