Epson printer users

Wanted to see which Epson printers you use to print out pictures.

I have used the picture mate for the last 3 years and loved it, but it died on me. lol

Now, I am wanting to purchase a new printer. I like Epson and the way it looks when it prints.

I would like to print bigger size too. up to 12 x 12 would be great.

How much does the ink cartlidges run too please?

i have the large format ones, the r1800 and the newer r1900 and they print great. i'm not sure on the ink, i think around $12-14 for one? but they are separate, so you only replace the ones that are actually empty.

Do you print any 4 x6 off of them too? Or do you just do 12 x12?

Thanks for the info. is the R1900 the newst printer available?

I guess I am wondering if I need to get one just to print off 4 x6 pictures. I still give family pictures out.

I went to the crop in Maysville and I have to say that Margie is right - the r1900 prints GREAT!! I really would like to have one but since I have the Kodak 1400, I can't really justify it......maybe someday!!

Ditto what Kydeb said. I was at the crop and the R1900 does an awesome job. I don't know about 4x6 but the 12 x 12 looked great. I have the R220 or R200 (can't remember exactly which and I'm at work not at home) and I love it. It doesn't print 12x12 only 8 1/2 by 11. It does great on 4x6s as well, but I don't print alot of those. Ink is like Marge said $12-14. I can sometimes find all six cartidges bundled together which brings the price down a little. I spent $79 ($99-$20 rebate) for my printer a few years ago and its been more than worth the money. Hope that helps!

i've done 4x6 too and they're great. i usually use my hp for that simply cause i have lots of hp 4x6 sheets. :)
