I keep getting an error message when I try to save my work in PSE3. I've saved at each step, but when I get to about the 7th or 8th step, I get an error that says: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."

Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I just upgraded from PSE2 and never had this error before.

I haven't seen that error...but...can you save as to another file name so at least you have your most current copy??

I tried "save as" and saving as a copy. I just have to revert back to the original file.

I still have 2.0 on my computer and it is working fine. No saving problems but I liked the new look of 3.0 so much more. Do you think there might be a conflict because of both being on the computer?

I have both on my computer and have never had that error.

I have both installed, and have never gotten that error in v3, but have gotten it in PS7, CS, and PSE2. Usually just closing where I am, closing some other windows, etc, and restarting solves it, but that's not working for you.

Have you contacted Adobe tech support yet? Often when I get that error (I dn't get it a lot) my software says that and then shuts down!

Try using v2 until we get this worked out so you don't fall behind in the lessons. The class is actually written in v2

I'm using pse2 and I just started getting this message when I try to open anything (jpg or png or psd) or try to save anything. Nothing has changed - it just started doing it! I'm out of my scrapping slump and I have my first DSP cd and I can't use them! HEEEELLLLLLPPPP!

Thanks,

Marcy : )

Hey Marcy, Photoshop can get a little funky if you don't have enough room on your hard drive. Do you have plenty of space on the hard drive?

Just a thought. Mine will hang (not give an error) if I don't have enough for the scratch file.

Hope that helps.

I have had that error!!! USually, if I either restart the program (sometimes the computer it goes away. I've also closed other open windows and had the problem stop. I have a feeling that it's because of lack of memory. I also haven't been getting the message since I moved ALL of my gaphics (photos, elements, and clip art) onto an external hard drive. I freed up lots of space on my hard drive when I did that.

Good luck!
