GC: September- To the EXTREME...

Hey guys! This month's graphically challenged is called TO THE EXTREME....

I want you to take your photos to the EXTREME! I am talking blown out colors, brilliant brights, surreal effects! Here are some ideas to help you on your way:
1. Play with your tint/black and white/color effects
2. Play with your levels and curves (just start playing if you dont know where to start...you can produce some CRAZY effects by opening up the dialog box and moving your points!)
3. Play with duplicate layers and blend modes (I am a HUGE fan of blend modes! Try overlay, color burn, hard light, or others to create some EXTREME effects!)

Thanks for making this challenge I always enjoy playing with my photos to give them a bit more edge and this definitely pushes the photo to the extreme but I love it!

I did this LO back in June. I changed the photo, the BG paper and some of the elements to B&W. I added so many effects to the photo that I cannot remember them all. I LOVE using the kit of Meryl's.

I finally did it! I've been working on this challenge since it was first posted, and it was only today that I finally came up with something I was willing to post. Of course, I've been busy with the DET contest and scrap along, and my ongoing goal to get 2007 all scrapped (but this page works along with that too), so I haven't spent ALL my time on this.

Well, these two were really exercise in color.

First Ponytail

For this one, I extracted her eyes and ran an Unsharp Mask. It really brought out the color and highlights how striking they really are. Then I did a Gradient Mask blend to get rid of any distractions.

For this one, I used a Layer Mask to create a Vignette affect then kept the LO basically white to highlight the soft glow that I got by taking this photo in the bathroom. (That wasn't intentional, but I really did like it.)
