This was so much fun that I decided to make another one. I also want to say that I have never done any actual journaling so this is a major breakthrough for me! Thank you all the heritage ladies (and men, if there are any) for all your encouragement!

I just wanted to add that I really really really miss coming to Heritage Chat and T42 with Meryl, but since I went back to work (can you believe it's 11 months since) I am working when Heritage take place and it's 3am when T42 takes place, but I do lurk in the gallery and threads.

I love this week's water theme and did two layouts:

The first includes a rare photo of my grandparents taken at the beach before they were married.

The second layout does not have a traditional heritage feel to it, but the photo was taken in 1967 and the journaling tells the story of my brother's love of water.

I am so sorry I don't come to the Heritage chats..4am is NOT good for me !!:love2::eek:..and also that I haven't participated in the challenges..but I thought we had to ATTEND first !! The little cozzies the boys are wearing were KNITTED !!! No nylon or lycra or cotton knit in those days !!! Dad told me they weighed a ton when wet and were all scratchy and smelly !!! :yikes: :shocked:

Here's my LO for "On the Water" (hee hee). It's of a fun time in my DD"s life, when she was almost through Middle School, and wanted a waterbed sooo much, so I gave her one for her birthday. The photo was a polaroid, and I had to work with it a lot and finally just make it b/w, but I think it made the LO kinda "sloshy and retro", and a friend of mine described it. :)
