The short story is I'm loooking for kits that I can use to make a page look like an Album Front (leather/canvas album w/ picture inset, for example). Anyone know of any in the Store? Freebies? Others (if that is allowed?)) Kinda like this one: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277498&ppuser=79330

I'm starting to scrap our vacation pics. We went on a ROAD TRIP! and went to about 5 destinations. So I have a draft idea of a title/album cover page,(Like this: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277497&ppuser=79330) itinerary page (like this: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277503&ppuser=79330) and then a similar looking summary page for each of the 5 places. Then I can put the remaining photos and stories in between. This way the album will have a uniform look that allows lots of freedom. I'm using the freebie: Tumbling Down by Christine Gunderson for the itinerary and summary pages-- 5-6 photos and lots of room for a title or journaling, so I think it is perfect and will help me do it quickly. Yeah! I Love Freebies!

So maybe this will become a 'mini albums'... or I might just put them in with my other pages and just create a album-like looking cover. The album looking cover would be great as a stand alone 'title' or just as a separator.

I used the lovely kit "Book of Memories" when my grandfather passed away. I really love how it looks but I find that I cannot re-use it (entirely) for other 'albums' because it has such sentimental/bittersweet memories. This was one I got as a posting bonus for Encore Encore (Perfectly Patchouli) I didn't see it in the store.

I used bits from that and a freebie (Antique Gold Valerie Brumfield) here: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277497&ppuser=79330

Are there others.... I'm not in love with my 'look' of that album. Here's the one I did for my grandpa, which I do really like): http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277498&ppuser=79330 Lots of stuff I could have fixed, but I put this and about 7 other pages together the night before his wake, and creating it was really therapeutic... plus the family really loved looking at the photos of him and his great grandchildren. Thank goodness for laptops and scrapping, made it pretty easy to do.

I'm also looking for a nice (or fun) word out for 'vacation' 'family vacation' or 'road trip'!

Oh, and is there a vacation challenge?

Suggestions welcome! Thanks!

Have you seen these in the store:

3 Opening Rounded Corner Album Cover Template (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3274) by Lisa Carter

One Opening Rounded Corner Album Cover Template (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3314)

Quite a few of the ploppers made by the designers in store could also double as an album cover. Also check out the Instant Album category as well.

Thanks! Those look promising, I'll take a look at some ploppers, I don't know why I didn't even think of that...
