First of all a BIG thank you for the wonderful gallery full of "Water" pages, and the great turn out and enthusiastic chat at Heritage tonight! Some great suggestions and i will look through them again.
A few immediate thoughts:
~ Voting - it is always impossible to please everyone all the time. We have been doing the voting at Heritage the same way for about 4 years, and I feel its sort of part of Heritage. We had a small change at one stage (BIG thanks to cathiemarie for trying it out) and I was inundated with complaints about that too ...........
My feeling is that its life - we CAN'T all win all the time,. and yes, some do win more often, BUT to win, they submit pages EVERY week, attend the chat EVERY week??? see a pattern here? and of course, if we anly have 3 -4 entries, few at the chat it gets more repetitive.
So my feeling is that unless there is a really good reason to change, for now we will stay with voting.
I am going to:
~ see if I can have the heritage gallery moved.
~ see if I can have a post on the DSP blog
~ I will put links in the calender.
~ Try to post in other forums an "invitation" to join us.

Our winner this week was jennilynn10 with her page Hattie and Polly at the Beach (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=277864) - I love the old photos in the "modern" elements (several of you did that this week, I loved seeing them!) It was a hotly contested vote this week, some fabulous pages! Congrats jennilynne, your voucher for a page kit is on its way to you!
 :yahoo:  :yahoo:
The topic for next week is wide open - transportation. Cars, boats, planes, trains, anything goes! lets see what you have to show us!
Post them in the Our Heritage Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=847), and a link in this thread.
Guidelines for posting (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26806)
Look forward to seeing you all next week!
I'm so happy to read this! And I'm so sorry to have missed the chat. I had a prior commitment of a political nature to attend to, but I am glad to hear the chat was a rousing success. I think I commented on as many heritage LO's today as DET LOs. Congrats everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all in the gallery and the chat room. :)
Glad the decision was to keep voting! I've only won once but it was a thrill to get votes on the work I had done. Personally, I love this kind of "competition" -- inspires us to learn from the more gifted heritage scrappers.

I really enjoyed the chat last night with so many people attending. Good conversation and an amazing gallery filled with so many lovely and interesting pages. I have left comment son all of them. They are all so wonderful to look at and fascinating to read. Can't wait for next week.

I am so glad that you are keeping Heritage as is Meryl. I so miss not being at chat, and when I don't come to chat I forget to post a LO in the gallery so I am very pleased too that you are going to expand Our Heritage' profile on the site. I need to be nudged every now and then to wake me up. Now let me go look for trains, n boats n planes da da de da isn't that a song?

In the chat (this morning / last night) I mentioned new products i have. They are now in the store, and I hope you will love using them! I thought of your heritage ladies very especially in making them!
Meryl's Cracked and Creased Collection (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&keyword=cracked+creased&search_in_description=1&categories_id=&inc_subcat=1&manufacturers_id=15&pfrom=&pto=&dfrom=&dto=&x=36&y=6)
They give you the cracked look, and because of the way they are made, you can trim away the paper from the edges giving it a creased shape too! I have included some instructions although its really very simple.

I had a lot of fun putting together my "transporation" layout. It brought back some very special memories for me. I also used 2 of Meryl's fantastic new overlays.

Unfortunately, I am never able to make the chats due to a little thing called work. However, I LOVE your challenges - they always make me think of special times and people. Here's my LO for Transprotation.
