So maybe I went a little crazy. DH might say that I'm out of control! I just got back from buying my new external hard drive (120 GB) and while I was at the computer store I decided that I needed a Wacom tablet too! Can I just tell you that I'm loving both of my new toys!!!
Oh, fun :) Be careful, this is where digi scrapping costs more than paper, LOL! Except that as paper scrappers go more digital they have to buy all this stuff too ;) You'll enjoy both tremendously, I'm sure :D
The tablet will take some getting used to, force yourself to use it. It's especially nice with the brush tool
The thing I really love about digi scrapping is that I can deck out my computer, but it's useful for so many other things. I feel my money is well-spent
congrats!

LOL Emma!!! Are you ready to find out how I'm paying for my digi hobby? I'm teaching paper scrappin' classes at the LSS!!! At my last class they asked how I have time to paper scrap and teach too, I almost didn't tell them the truth. I finally said, very quietly, "I don't paper scrap any more, I computer scrap." They all let out a gasp! No joke!!!
Yes, the Wacom is a bit tricky. I know that once I use it more I'll love it! I do have a question for you. When you use your Wacom, do you keep it to the side of your keyboard like a regular mouse pad or do you put it in front of you more like a real paper tablet?
Thanks!!!
LOL! A gasp? As if you're some kind of traitor. I guess that's how it would be if I announced I don't even scrap using some of the software I teach, LOL! But I DO, so it's all good :)
You don't want my opinion on the tablet. I'm ambidextrous and have a super weird setup for my stuff. The tablet is on the left, the mouse on the right, and I mouse with the right, pen, and keyboard together with the left
If I'm painting, I just pull the tablet in front and just paint with it, keyboard and mouse with the right

I've had my Wacom tablet for about three years - bought it for digitizing sewing machine embroidery. Now, for digital scrapping, using my index finger on the track pad of my iBook to lasso an object is quite tiring. So last night I hooked up my Wacom. Oh, so much easier. It's a matter of just using it as Emma mentioned. Thanks for reminding me to use what I have. :)
Enjoy your new tools!

I also find it easier to use when I tip it up a little. Kinda just like how your keyboard is raised on the top end. I only have a small 4X6 size tablet.
