Emma;
This tutorial is absolutely fantastic! I've had more fun playing with it this morning-now I just have to remember it all. So much for reading my EKG book at work later tonight-guess I'll be studying your tutorial instead (who cares about EKG's anyway . . .)
Thank you very much!

So glad you enjoyed it! Your painting abilities will suddenly skyrocket when you know how to tweak the settings in that palette

How's everyone coming along on this one? Any questions, made any layouts using brush settings (backgrounds, etc)? Post 'em here!

Hi Emma,
the tutorial is really great. :-)
Is there a possibility to see the colors which are used when changing the Hue parameter before drawing something? It depends on so many factors: chosen colors, size Hue parameter,... Seems like trail and error for me.
I hope you get the point what I mean.

By the way I would like to take the DSU 130 class but I don't know how much time I need approximately to cover the lessons. I would estimate that my skills are maybe a 2 on a scale from 1 (beginner) to 5 (expert) but there a certainly basic holes to fix.
Considering that we are moving in april it might not be the best to take the class then but I'm so curious to learn more about PSP that I don't want to wait longer...
What happens when I don't cover the lessons in time?

Greetings,
Rinchen

Yes, the Hue is trial and error. The higher the Jitter, the more new colors are introduced. Hard to tell how they'll combine, but I have more of a "feel" for it the more I used and which color types will look good and which will look like mud! Keep at it, it's a fun setting.

The class is ultimately self-paced. I have no idea how many hours a week my students spend on it on average, based on their prior knowledge. If you fall behind, I just harp on downloading the lessons anyway and doing them on your time, even if it takes longer. I promise I won't change my email address, and I help students from past months all the time as they finish up.

You can post homework to the DSU gallery anytime, even after the class is finished. Looking forward to having you!
