I am having lots of trouble doing a simple colour substitution.
I pick a colour and load in my pallet and it has all the details such as hue, saturation , and lightness and the special colour code. this is Say new colour Blue

Ok so I have a great background paper that is green and I want to change to the EXACT colour new blue loaded on my pallet. But maintain all the background paper qualities so can't use flood fill.

I go to adjust colours hue.saturation and lightness and try to put in the numbers defined in the pallet colour but it doesn't have the actual code of the palet colour as an option . and sometimes doesn't let me put the numbers in.

I then go through a very frustrating session of manipulating colour wheels to try to get a match
What am I doing wrong ?

Is there an easier way.?

hoping so

Learning to Finesse those sliders is an art, I swear! Often adjusting the Saturation higher can result in a color you like.

Try the Hue Map also under Adjust>Color>Hue Map, you might have better results with that interface, and it changes only the selected colors rather than the whole thing.

I'm not a fan of the Color Replace brush, but you can give it a whirl.

I've investigated and tried every way to adjust colors, and the Hue is my personal favorite. If anyone knows a way to match something precisely, please let us know! But I've gotten good with the Hue/Saturation sliders, can match things pretty well now

It would be nice to just drop a color from the Color Picker into the Hue box!
