PSCS3 Error: Could not use the move tool because the target channel is hidden

HELP! I've been working on extracting several photos in a document, and must have clicked something, and now I can't figure out what I did.

In my layers, I can't move my images, I can't directly edit them. I get the error: Could not use the move tool because the target channel is hidden

I do notice that the layers palette is different. In the document that is giving me grief, my selected layer is gray and the name of the layers is in bold, as opposed to a blue highlight.

Any ideas????

Never mind, I figured it out ... I had hit Q for a quick mask (used this for the first time, still not sure exactly what it is), and once I hit it again, all is back to normal.

Note to self, Google first, ask question second!!

So glad you figured it out :) .. the things that drive you crazy! I've done that kind of thing when I changed to channels and all of a sudden everything looked very wrong!
