ACDSee 2009 is the brand new version replacing ACDSee 10. I believe it was just released during this last week. So - be sure to go out and download 2009. Don't worry if you have spent time to 10 tagging and organizing, you won't loose anything. Just be sure to backup!!! Then when you want to carry on with 2009, you can import from your backup of 10 and not loose anything. Check out the DigiScrapInfo website. There are 100% dedicated to ACDSee products and have ALL the answers to ALL (or at least the vast majority ;) of questions). Have Fun! -c-

Yes, I am just starting to play around with PM 2009 right now. It is basically the same as PM 10, but you can have saved searches, the editing is has some nicer options (borders, saves the original automatically) ...
I'll post back what I think of it!
For anyone else interested- keep in mind that if you use 2009, anything you do cannot be reverted back to version 10 or 9. And you won't lose anything if you convert your PM 10 database to 2009.

I purchased 2009 yesterday and imported all the stuff I had done on the trial version of 10. It worked great! I haven't seen much difference in saving my stuff. It seems to work the same. I really like the ACDSee way of saving stuff though. I am about halfway through my organization. Laura

I personally am liking it! I blogged about it here
ACDSee Releases Photo Manager 2009 (http://faerywings.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/acdsee-releases-photo-manager-2009/)
including the one feature I am liking the most so far. I like that you can add categories and key words as you import images from a CD/DVD or your camera card.
I describe it a bit in that blog post. One thing that I didn't know you could do when I blogged that was that if you have more than one category of pics that you are downlaoding, you can select a bunch of photos, keyword them, dwnld them off of your camera and the do the same with the next batch using different keywords.
For ex. Say I have a bunch of photos on my card. Some are of my DD and some are of my cat. I can select the DD files, enter her name as keyword and dwnld them off the card.
Then I can go back, select al of the photos of my furbaby- add the key words of his name and "pets" and dwnld them then.
My biggest frustration with finding photos is that I have very few of them 'tagged" in any way. This is going to be a huge time saver for me.
