It's that time again - so get pumped! Prompts and Props is on the prowl... well, not really, but anyway.
So, we have a chat on Tuesday, October 7th! 9 pm Eastern time. We will talk about the challenge; it's a good one this time - and many of you know it from former P & P challenges and loved it. So try it with us this time too - it's called Hip Heritage!
We'll explain about it in the chat, and update this post afterwards with all the information you need to know to complete the challenge even if you can't make the chat.
As always, we feature two products, one from each of us. If you use EITHER of these products to post a layout by the challenge end date of Oct 21, you will get a posting bonus. You do NOT have to follow the prompt to get the posting bonus - it's simply a suggestion, something to get your creative juices flowing, an idea to pickle around in your head.
The featured products are:
Maybe Baby (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8949) page kit by Suzanne
and
Ravishing (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9006) page kit by myself.
Either is suitable for Hip Heritage, so look through your boxes of vintage photos and pull out one that has some saucy personality, or a good story to tell.
Here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=282582&ppuser=18691) is the link to the posting bonus.
Edit to add Prompt info from chat:
The challenge this time is Hip Heritage – we’ve done this before in P & P and Suz is excited to be in on it this time. What you do, is take a heritage photo – it can be color or monochrome, and scrap it with a kit that seems modern. You’d be surprised how this really jazzes up some older photos and brings the personality to life.
Now, I have a few old photos where the people are just unsmiling and have no personality whatsoever – but I wouldn’t use those! However, you know you have a relative who had a quirky personality, or you have a story to tell about her or him, that would cause you to want to spice up the photo a little. At least give it a try; if you don’t use one of our featured kits then still play along to try the challenge.
If you DO use one of the featured kits – you get the challenge bonus! I asked those who have played along in this challenge before to post links to their old layouts as examples, so check below for inspiration.
thanks!
