Microsoft Windows Gallery (Help)

I've been tagging all my photos on this program. I've tried to save it on my external hard drive and have had no luck. Does anyone know how to do this? Or does anyone use a program for tagging photos that can then be saved on an external hard drive?

Becky, I am afraid I can't help you with Windows Gallery - popular programs here at DSP are ACDSee (which I love!) Download a free 30 day trial here (http://www.acdsee.com/offers/acdsee10pe/), or Picassa (http://picasa.google.com/)(free from Google).

I use Microsoft Photo Gallery but haven't tried transferring from there to external hard drive. Mine are listed by designer, quick clicks, word art, plopper etc. and shows png. The actual folders are backed up to external hard drive frequently. Also have Picassa but use it more for photos. I really need to learn more about it. Hope you find an answer.
