Hope I'm getting this right :)

The topic for this week is again nice and broad - Special Places - the stories about places that you want preserved for future generations.

Remember, as with all Heritage pages, journaling is very important, its the story we need to preserve!

Post them in the Our Heritage Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=847), and a link in this thread.

Guidelines for posting (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26806)

Look forward to seeing you all next week![/QUOTE]

I have so many special places I don't know how I'll pick just one, but this my kind of challenge so will give it a try.

Lynnette thanks so much for starting the thread. Soon after Heritage Chat I had such a weird/scary/painful experience! Ray had just left for work, so I was alone, and had to take some medicine - a liquid one I loath! As usual I stirred it and sort of threw it back and choked.... Not a good feeling to be alone and choking! Then the huge coughing which followed did something awful to my back - that was me, somehow managed to get up to my bed and i was literally pinned there for the day - the odd times I HAD to get up were excruciating! Went to chiropractor next morning and he worked wonders (said I had entrapped a nerve) - still painful, but I am at least now able to get to my computer (you all know how it feels not to be able to do that!) and move around.

After commenting on JayDee's beautiful page in the gallery, she suggested I post my National Cathedral (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=270587)page here, but that doesn't seem right seeing as how she did hers special for this challenge and I did not.
But, she did introduce me to this thread (thank you) so I will submit a layout- its for the Tomb of the Unknowns because I think traditions and ceremony are often as important as the places they are tied to.
