Does anyone know if there's a way to use a stitching brush to follow a circle...I also have bought stiches...is there any way to make them actually bend, say around a half circle??? I'm not sure if you have to create a path which I can't do in PSE.

Brushes can stroke on a path in PS, but I don't think in PSE.

As for bending a straight line of stitches ... you could use the transform options and use skew or warp if you have them, but I would think that would only work for a subtle bend.

Something I have done in the past is if there is space between the stitches you can copy paste parts of a line and then rotate the part and continue the process until you get a circle.

Of course, you can always go shopping, a few ideas...

I have some of the stitches but not some of the ones listed above!

I found a few that I didn't have either ... I really like the groups of just the stitches... there is always something on my wish list!!

The other thing you could try with a straight line of stitches would be filter>distort>polar coordinates>rectangular to polar
a straight object is turned into a circle, the line needs to be longer than you'd think to get a decent size circle and sometimes it looks distorted and odd but it's worth a try.

Hey there...I tried the polar coordinates...I couldn't get it to work.... it looked more like a flying saucer...I basically want to follow a half circle around my page...so far I can't get my stitches straight with the brushes....

For the polar coordinates to work the item needs to be placed dead centre in your layout

I noticed above that you mentioned that you can take a straight line of stitches and use skew or distort...I'm wanting to make some soft curves in them...is there a way to do this?? Skew doesn't do anything for me...

you can do this with distort - shear - or warp

Ok Lauren, I'm using KeepinEmIn Stitches...I've tried this 3 times on shear...I must not have the warp setting...it's not doing anything....what am I doing wrong? What it seems to be doing is distorting the stitch but not making a slow bend in the whole thing.

Shear only works on vertical lines so you need to turn your stitching so its vertical and then use the filter

Oh, I'll try that!! I like your picture!! Looks pretty freaky!! I got it!! Thank you!
