Featured Designer Challenge by Cathie and Formby (the Luvaducks)!

Who's up for the Featured Designer Challenge for November?
The featured designer this month is Suzanne Walker

This challenge uses, exclusively, items from the Designer of the Month featured in the DSP Monthly Newsletter. The products used can be purchased or from the freebie gallery, but everything used on your layout must be from the featured designer. (No items from pre-designer days, such as SNL kits, etc.) For Suzanne, you MAY USE ALPHAs FROM OTHER DSP DESIGNERS, but NOT QCs and Word Art this month, since Suzi has loads of them :). Calendar Stamps (not date stamps, but Calendar Stamps) are permitted from any DSP designer.

You earn a posting bonus for doing 5 layouts and another one for doing 10 layouts. Please put a post in the thread with a single line indicating "5 layouts completed" or "10 layouts completed" when you are done and we will send the posting bonus. Posting bonuses will be sent around 15th of month and around end of month. In addition, there is a random draw for a free page kit ($3.99) at the end of the month and a random draw from comments ($1.99). The posting bonus may or may not be from the designer, depending on how busy the designer is that month.

For Suzanne, you MAY USE ALPHAs FROM OTHER DSP DESIGNERS, but NOT QCs and Word Art this month, since Suzi has loads of them .

Chellie, your LO's are fine as long as you keep to the rules, which you have, it doesn't matter that they are scraplifts. HTH

Hello everyone - a couple of people have asked about proper crediting. There are TWO parts to it. Link the kit in the comments section AND put the kit keyword in the keywords section.

The reason we are requiring this as part of Featured is because it helps the designers. If someone likes the kit you are using, they can link right to the store and buy it and the keywords will show someone ALL the kits that were created using this kit and that have the keyword.

So it isn't rules just for rules sake, it really does help.

I'm going to second what Lynnie said--I use the keywords a lot when I want to see how a particular kit was used. It is also what drives the link you use in the store that says Click here to see layouts using this product.

I remember seeing a layout I just loved using a kit that I hadn't considered. When later I was looking at the kit, I couldn't remember the layout, so I clicked on the click here. The person had not used keywords, I couldn't remember the layout, so ended up not purchasing the kit. :(

You have all being doing such AMAZING things this month - I'm so glad to see you all out and about supporting Suzanne. She's got such fantastic things in the store!!

Sorry I've not been commenting on the layouts the last week or so, but I've been up to my ears in personal stuff...

1) I do work on the side for my brother's duo, WoodRock. They are pretty awesome: http://www.woodrockmusic.com. I take care of their website, their blog, their advertising, their business cards, their marketing and for their stage show, I do all the video loops. This was a really busy week, since their debut performance was on Saturday. They played together when they were younger, and they have recently reunited and they are fantastic!!

2) I am also busy helping to found a non-profit organization. It is a pretty amazing concept and it is in the very early stages, but tons of hard work. I am the compliance person.

3) I just got temporary custody of one of my grandchildren. It has been a pretty hectic couple of weeks with social services and a bunch of other things. He's a lovely little boy with some problems that prevent him from being in the home with other children right now, so it was considered advisable to place him elsewhere.

4) Decorating for Christmas (don't you wish the elves put up the decorations and took them down?)

5) I have a regular job as well.

MY LIFE!! Anyway, I hope you will excuse those times I can't keep up commenting on all your fabulous layouts :)
