I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place. Sorry if I'm not. I wanted to d/l some brushes that have an .ABR file , is there anyway I can get them into PSP 9? TIA for any help.

Nope, no way to convert. They're not even compatible in lower versions of Photoshop, much less PSP. You can get a PS friend to stamp them onto an image, save in .psd, then email you the image where you can turn each one into a brush tip and save in pspsbrush format. Or if you have PSE you can do it in there and just open the psd in PSP and save those. The PSE brush engine is really poor, so doing your brushwork in PSP is the way to go, even if you do have PSE.

I've tried to get a PSP brush link list going a few times, never happens. I know there are some great sites out there.

Anyone? I have a few I love, I'll have to dig them up. I've begun just making most of my own brushes, so don't really d/l anymore and am out of date with the sites.

Post 'em?

This link ( which I hope is OK to post here) is for some goods tips for PSP 9, if you scroll down almost to the bottom of the page the instructions for converting brushes to use in PSP 9 is there.

I love this site, been a long time since I visited! She's so thorough. I saw the part about using brushes in PSP 9, but nothing about converting a Photoshop brush to PSP format. I don't think it's possible excep to stamp the brush tip on an image in PS or PSE, save as a psd or jpg etc, and open in PSP and create a brush tip from it, redoing all the Variances as much as possible; some of them aren't the same in PSP as in PS.

Thanks for sharing the site, this page is a wonderful resource!
