Great Colin. Looks like I have some work to do showing you how to post thumbnails so that they are links to the gallery that has the layout. I need to find the posting with the instructions on how this is done. I could write the instructions, but why when they are already written in another post.
volvoguy
11-24-2008, 08:56 PM
Here's the instructions for a clickable thumbnail from the NKOTB12 Alumni thread, page 78, #1166:
"Long story short on the thumbnail posting: Go to your gallery, highlight the LO thumbnail and title that you want to post. Ctrl C, they go to the advanced posting, click on the AA in the upper right corner. The screen will change (mine does not change color); then Ctrl V to paste. It is tricky to highlight the thumbnail without opening your gallery. I try to highlight from the bottom up - the title and then the thumbnail pix.
HTH"
When highlighting the title and thumbnail you need to click away from the title and thumbnail a slight bit so that you don't activate the link.

Great blinkies you guys!
Hey thanks Collie for looking at my new pic - my oldest, Giancarlo, said it was... "nice".
ARGH! If there is just one thing I cannot cope with, it is being told that one of my pictures is nice. Oh dear!
It's a new pic, the one of me in front of the Smart car in Modena in Italy. I lost 8 of my pics from last weekend in the laptop crash - I rolled it back to a C Drive restore to get it going again. I have remade 2 so far - the two Venice ones using Nicole's Ice Queen kit.
I now sit here, with an EHD plugged in. I have three pocket sized EHDs actually, but will now back up EVERY single LO that I do in future, as I do it.

one time I couldn't decide what butterfly to use, so I tossed like 10 different ones on the LO and he took one look and said "nice".

Well done to you Grandads for keeping this going. Surely you can't be the only guys at DSP?? I tried to get my hubby involved as he is a million times more artistic than me but he didn't want to play. Do you have any issure over the kits being too girly... I only wondered because I am a bit of a tomboy so I really struggle with ribbons and bows and things like that so my LOs are often really plain.
Good luck guys - hope some more gents find you.

Collie - Glad to see you getting with the season with the new avatar. Would like a little snow to go with the nice warm suit you are wearing? We had our first real snowfall last night and it has been snowing most of the day. The temps have been around 30F during the day so not much accumulation, only about 2 inches. Nice to see the white stuff instead of brown grass.

Here is a quick layout I did yesterday for the NKOTB12 alumni. We had an all day snow storm on Friday into Saturday and then another smaller storm on Sunday that stopped by sunset. Then a quick snow shower overnight. All the snow totaled about 15 inches or 38 cm. More than enough to last until Christmas.

Glad it worked out for you, John.
I do love my crock pot. While we were building out house, we ate a lot of meals out of that crock pot.
I posted two more recipes on the GT in the last two days. Just quick and easy meals. From the time you walk in the kitchen scratching your head wondering what you are going to make to the time you flick off the light thankful that you're done for the night is only and hour and a half. Within that hour and a half is enough time to help with some home work during the short prep/cook time, enjoy a good meal with the family, and get the kitchen all tidied up after. I can deal with and hour and a half.

I've got another pork success recipe for you guys.
I had a mondo pork loin in the fridge. I sliced it as if I was serving it but not all the way down. Just down to that thick fat that's on the bottom. Then I placed it in a casserol dish that I had lined with tinfoil. I took Honey Chipotle BBQ sauced and drizzled it in the slices that I had cut and spread it over the top. Then I wrapped it up tight in the tinfoil and tossed it in the oven at 350 degrees F for about an hour.
It was yummy! And very easy. I like that!

Hi Ted!!! Glad that you found the Guys!!
Hey guys, I've got another one for ya...Another pork roast. What can I say, pork is cheap!! Can of cream of mushroom and a can of french onion. Doesn't hurt to sear the roast first to get it crusty on the outside but I have been known the for go that step and just through the dang thing in the crock pot with the two cans of soup mixed up.
Yet another quick meal for when it is your turn. One you can claim you slaved over all day. I do!!

When I went to my first Crop at Adobe last July, I didn't feel that I was an outsider. Yes many of the attendees already knew each other from previous Crops, but I was welcomed as much as DW and participated fully in all the fun at the event. The photo walk and dinner the night before the Crop gave us a chance to meet many of the attendees.

If any of you are deer hunters, a deer roast and a pork roast cooked together in the crock pot is yummy and makes the best gravy! I always stuff plenty of garlic in the pork road. For added flavor, in addition to the water, toss in a can of French onion soup!

Ted/Volvoguy, my brother and family lived in Marlborough for 5 years. I visited twice while they were there and LOVED the area. So much history (which never really appealed to me from a book!) to see/become part of. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

Hey guys, did you see Woodsy's Magic Door. It opens up to my basement. If you come through the house, you could probably sneak down the stairs and hang out for a bit.
It is a sub forum of the apprentice designer forum.

I was finally shamed into creating another layout. We went to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square PA to see an exhibit of orchids with the grandchildren last week. There were many spring and summer flowers as well as green grass in the middle of winter.

John inspired me to create a flowery layout. Spring must be in the air! :)

Hi Collie,
You talked about the time difference, so I checked to see what the time was for you and found 13:30 on Tuesday. Is that correct? I'm about ready to call it a day here in Eastern US and head to bed in the next half hour.

Oh no Collie! I thought I saw you across the room in the Hotel Restaurant at the Gold Coast crop and was too shy to come and say hello in case it wasn't you! ;-)
I sat next to Vallie at the crop and she is such fun! It was lovely to meet her! ;-)
I hope you still hang around some! ;-)
