I am trying to decide if I want to get up at 5am to get this- Seagate FreeAgent 500GB External USB Hard Drive - for 69 dollars.....

is that a good one? a good price? worth it? We REALLY need one, I was gonna wait, but if this is a good price I need to grab it now

thanks in advance!

I know lots of people who have Seagates and are very happy with them - $69 sounds good to me!

eve, I bought a Maxtor portable 250 EHD for $89 about three months ago and thought it was a good deal. So the $69 sounds excellent to me.

Well, I paid a little over $100.00 for my Seagate last year so that sounds like an excellent deal to me!

My DH is a network admin and hardware expert (with years of experience!) and he would definitely go for this deal! He paid more than that for my new 250GB. And Seagate is a good brand!

They are a lot more than that over here. I have 3 that I have been given or have got from work.
I am backing up right now. I try to back up each layout now, after having my laptop crash, and my most recently backed up on EHD - break.

I paid more than that for my Western Digital 250GB EHD a few months ago and then found out that WD stinks! I haven't had any problems with it yet. This looks like a good deal to me!
