There are many different ways of recreating the Sketch/Pencil Look. A lot of it is trial and error - but here is the steps I took to created this look.

Download a free plug in called Porcelain available through www.xero-graphics.co.uk. (Install Program Files/Microsoft Digital Image Pro/Plugins)

In DIP 10 turn your pic B&W ( Effects>Black&White) Then I used Effects>Filters>all Filters > Pencil: Drawing and then tweaked/played with the advanced options.

Now go to Effects>Filters>Plug In Filters>Porcelain> click ok

Then applied for the SECOND TIME - Effects>Filters>all Filters > Pencil: Drawing and then tweaked/played with the advanced options.

All Done! - Be aware it took 2 mins for the porcelain filter to apply itself on picture - be patient! Different photos - different results - but it prints out wonderful when you get it right! - GO PLAY!

Example of this effect here
