Alas, my PC was too slow for my digital scrapbooking and had a difficult time handling my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe v4.0 so I bought a MAC.
But, there are NO decent programs out there like SFD to do my digital scrapbooking.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I did buy the Aperture 2 and $200 later for MAC but am still even trying to figure out how to open a picture in it so don't know when I'll even be able to do ANY digital scrapbooking with my new MAC.
I'm going nuts and so bored without being able to do some digital scrapbooking.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
(I tried to open a png file in MAC and it didn't recognize it like a pc does)

I just suggested this in your intro thread but i would suggest Adobe PHotoshop elements - its relatively inexpensive and whilst not designed exclusively for scrapbooking it does a great job of it and does lots more besides

Photoshop Elements is a great program and there is definately a Mac version. Bit of a learning curve first up though. As far as I know, Aperture is a photo editing program, not scrapbooking program. I am not a Mac user though so I can only be of limited help.

Lauren and Sharon are right! The very best, low-cost program for Scrapbooking on the Mac is PSE. I have used the program for years, although I only started Scrapbooking with it in 2007. My first version, was 2.0. The latest version available for Mac is 6.0 but my guess is that 7 will be available within the first quarter of '09. If you have done digital scrapbooking before, my guess is that it won't take too long before you are using PSE well.
Good luck!
Agree with the others. There is a learning curve but it is well worth the effort. I started out using a scrapbooking program but got bored with it really quickly. With PSE you can do what you want in the size you want. There are some of us Mac users on the site -- any of us will be glad to hep you.

thanks for the help and information.
I will try to see if I can find a trial version of PSE for MAC.
I have Paint Shop Pro 8 for my PC and really liked that program!
I'm a newbie when it comes to my MAC and am still trying to find my way around this puter! LOL
I appreciate all of your help and suggestions.

Yeah I got a Mac too this year. Love it! It's so fast.
And I love my Photoshop Elements as well - 6.0.
I'm still learning too - but, if you need any help would be glad to help out.

Any of us will be happy to help you learn the new Mac -- just keep track of this thread for our names so you can PM any questions.
Photoshop Elements 6 is the best bang for your buck right now. You can download a trial at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/
Would also recommend Emma's PSE class here on DSP.
