Photography Challenge - Your Christmas Tree

This challenge will run until December 31st, giving you plenty of time to photograph your tree.
Think creatively, go wide and include the whole tree or go in close and photograph just a small part of it, whatever you do have fun :)

I was so looking forward to making photos again this year of my Christmas tree ( I learned how last year from instructions in this forum), but I broke my tripod last weekend with no time to get a new one. I'll just be looking at everyone else's this year.

I am just learning to use the manual controls on my camera, so this isn't a fabulous photo. I was soo excited to get the twinkling light effect on it!!!

I don't have a fancy camera...it's a Canon Powershot SD1100IS with some manual functions that I'm trying to learn.

I have a Canon Powershot SX100 (a point-and-shoot with some manual controls.) Here are the settings I used to get the "twinkle:" ISO 100, f8 (the smallest aperture my camera has), 6 second shutter speed, white balance on tungsten. I also used a tripod and used a 2-second delay so I wouldn't shake the camera.
