Hi - I was able to post my very first layout to the members gallery. I thought I might post a message on the yahoo group and include a link to the layout (don't know why I feel so brave - must be all the caffeine I've had today). Of course, I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Is there a tutorial for that somewhere? Thank you!!

caffeine will do that!! congrats!! just go to your page, then click in the address bar at the top. (starts with http://www.digital...) and click control and C (to copy) then go to your email and click control and P (to paste). that'll paste it into your text. hth. Ü

Hi Margie,

I tried to do what you said, but it didn't work. I opened my layout page under "my gallery" and clicked on the address bar, which was then highlighted. Then I hit CTRL+C (there was nothing to click on, I just did it manually on my keyboard). Then I switched over to the yahoo group, hit "post", wrote my message and hit CTRL+P to paste in the link but nothing happened - instead, I just got the print command popup that asks me how many pages I want to print. Does it matter that I usually post directly from the yahoo group - never from my own personal email? I also never see any attachments, only links if people include them in their posts. What should I be doing differntly in order to include a link to my layout in my post?

mac or pc?? and i did mean use your keyboard. make sure when you click in the address bar the entire link is highlighted in blue. if not, highlight it first...

your link is below (without the spaces, that's just so it'll all show up...)
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/ showphoto.php?photo=2058 &password=&sort=2&cat=last1&page=2

also, you only need the link up to and including the photo=2058. so you can delete the rest, so your link is shorter and less likely to break apart. so it's

http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2058

I feel like an idiot but I still cannot get this to work. I'm working on a PC and I have Windows XP. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong - I'm following everything you have said. However, when I highlight the address bar (and this happens automatically when I click on it), it is highlighted in a brownish/orangish color - definitely not blue. Does this mean anything?

no problem, we'll get it yet! :) you could have different colors, no idea. check this screen shot to be sure we're looking at the same address bar please...

Yes - my highlighted address matches that one.

WAIT!! Sorry, I just noticed something - I don't know if it matters or not. My address looks like this:
...php?photo=2058...

The address in your image has a slash in it and looks like this: php/?photo=2058

Does this matter?

not sure, but you just need to be able to copy and paste it. instead of control C and control P, click on edit copy, then edit paste in your broswer...

I am SO sorry to keep bugging you, but: I did the above and it did paste the link into my post. However, when I read my post and clicked on the link, it brought me to the gallery, but it said "no photo specified". Now what????

what was the link you were clicking on? it probably broke apart because it's long? did it have the entire link up till the photo=####?

I just reposted your link for you to the yahoo group. It was just too long and yahoo broke it apart.

yep, you've got it! just delete everything after photo=#### because it's not needed! Ü
