How'd you get your Username?

I've been Kerrbearsmile for so many years, I really had to think about it.

My name is Kerry. My friend told me that because I'm a very kind and caring person, I should be Kerrbear, like the Care Bears, only with Kerr instead of Care. (Yes. That is how it was explained. The bonus is I adore Care Bears. :love3: Share Bear is my favorite quickly followed by Love a Lot Bear.

Now the part that I had a hard time remembering. When and how did the "smile" get added to my name. I was going through a challenging time in my life; low self esteem, took a job I wasn't qualified for and got fired, everything looked glum. I kept telling myself to just smile and it would eventually get better.

After I got fired, I got a position on a help desk and we used AIM to ask questions of each other if we needed help and the person was on a call. So as a reminder, my screen name was Kerrbearsmile and I've used it ever since.

BTW, I was right. It did get better. It is still getting better every day. :love2:

My User name, Aunt Cookie, was lovingly given to me by my nephew who could not say Auntie Carol, but said Cookie instead. I have been Aunt Cookie to all my nieces and nephews since. And I love it. This nephew, Todd, was so troubled he shot himself at age 13, so I wear the name in his memory.

Well, I live in a rural area, and over the last 25 years have adopted many orphaned cats and kittens. A lot of people think that you can just dump a cat in a farm field and they will automatically know how to fend for themselves. Not true! I have rescued half-starved cats and kittens from old abandoned barns, parking lots, wooded areas near my home, and even living in the air compressors of a local party store!

I currently have 21 well-loved and pampered pusycats. (no, my house does NOT smell like a litter box, they all go outside!) I can't imagine a home without cats!

Hmmm, heavy metal should figure in to my user name somewhere, but it doesn't. Mine is rather boring - carolat. Carola is my first name and t is the first letter of my last name. I had triplets on Dec 5th 2007 and 1974 is the year I was born. I have 4 children one 12 and the triplets which was a shock to me I wasn't trying to have any more children but they are beautiful babies.
