Saving PNG in PhotoShop 6

I saved my file (it had a transparent bkg) as a png in PhotoShop, and I chose Interlaced (not sure if that's what I was supposed to do). Anyway, when I opened it in Paint Shop Pro 6, the image had all this black around it. Is it just PSP 6 that's not reading the file correctly, or did I do something wrong in saving it?

Paint shop pro v6 does not support pngs as well as later versions - this is the problem!!- YOu do not need to choose interlaced - this is to do with how an image is displayed on the web rather than in print.
