We just got back from 2 weeks in Europe and I want to do a book on our wonderful trip. I've looked in the store a bit, but does anyone have suggestions for a kit that might work or background page kit?? I've read the thread on 12x12 and 8x8 and will go back and look at the 8x8 kits more closely. I want the flexibility to print in either.
Thanks!

If you design you layouts 12x12 you should be able to reduce the finished one to 8x8 when print or save the file for printing. I always scrap 12x12 but then print 8x8.
You can search the gallery if you want and probably find some layouts on Europe. I know that designer Elizabeth Weaver has a whole bunch of layouts from her trip to London. Click here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=6464) to go to her gallery.
Sorry to not have more specific help, but it is hard to know exactly what you are looking for. Good luck on your search.

Thanks - I think I just need to spend a lot of time looking until I find it. I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking for, but I'm sure I will find it in the store!

If you go to the store and search for travel you will come up with a lot of options. There is a travel CD with tons of kits on it!!

I made a whole album for my parents in law with the pictures of their trip to Europe last year.

I would suggest to pick one quickclick for all of them, one you can slightly alter to mix it up and then go from there :)

ANother idea is to pick an instant album that is pretty generic and add elements and what have you from the travel kits.
All the instant albums

Something like Suzanne's Somethin somethin album

or Peek a Blue:

Her ANother Story album would coordinate well with the above and has space for lots more pictures - makes it an easy scrap :)

I love the idea of making or or a few pages and then repeating. I like the quick click idea and all of the pages are different, but the same layout. You are all giving me such great ideas!

Erica has an I Love Paris kit . .. .and Elizabeth's quick clicks are just great for putting several photos on a page. I am in the middle of several books right now . . .. I tend to do a layout that compliments the photos . . .. always think in terms of right and left . ... journaling is always a good idea as the memories fade and the mind dims (as least in my case) . . .. you can do cordinated sections of do a theme . ... but I always think the picture is the primary focus. I also like to interspere here and there just a full page of 1 spectacular picture . . . .adds punch to your book.
The only place where I pick total consistency of colour is for a wedding album . .. think that is more important and actually easy to do as the colours of the wedding are already fixed.
Just some food for thought.

PS . . .. I have used Susie's GoGo monthly 2 page templates a lot as they have flair, you can use a lot of pictures and there is room for journaling.
