Beautiful shoes ....and colors.
Makes me think of a girly, retro style kit.
-Love the flowers on the shoes, maybe a brown background with flowers
kinda like those on the shoes?
-A brown background with different size circle's in the pink colors and the green?

happybeingamom

A background with funky flowers

stripes of the colors but give it a grungy rumpelish look.

Dani B
01-08-2009, 03:48 PM
I background made just like the shoes if that is possible.

Ohh maybe a whole background with tiny shoes ?

The green in a solid textured pattern.

Corgi Lover

Ahhhhhhhhhh - I just love the shoes!

I think the shoes would make a great background paper!

Light green - worn, torn, stacked, creased or with tears and cardboard.

mariafer
01-08-2009, 05:46 PM
I have an embossing folder for my cuttlebug that reminds me of those precious shoes but instead of having a flower in all of the circles some are blank and some have hearts. I think that would be very cute also.

minnmom79

I like the idea of the flower/circle pattern for a background paper.

Light green background with a light pink grunge look to it.

honeymoon

Dark colour with raised stripes of the light pink (like the binding on the shoes)

Instead of a swiss spotted paper - dark pink bg with little light pink flowers all over it.

Dark green with swirls of little green vines and leaves.

A girlie background for the pale pink colour - maybe stick people pattern

What about a scalloped edge on one of the backgrounds. It looks like the soles of the shoes are scalloped.

dinaben99
01-09-2009, 12:27 AM
a deep green or mauve background paper with a bit of a "shoe print/tread" texture all over to it give it a bit of dimension

nachtstern
01-09-2009, 12:29 AM
solid dirt brown paper - maybe textured? (I know the color is not on the palette but it screams for it in my mind)
else the dark green would do too :)

What cute shoes. I am liking the idea of a green background with the pink colour as stripes (can't have flowers for everything!!!) and a browny colour. Not regular stripes but thick and thin ones

How about the dark burgundy/purply colour as a solid but with a needlecord texture.

The background you've done made me think of the wincyette blouses Mum used to make me that invariably came with a fine corduroy pinnafore or skirt to match. Which was way better than the crimpelene phase. LOL!

Still quite like a little tiny flower/swiss dot pattern.

A paper with flowers around the edge and fading to blank in the middle. Could even shape the edge of the paper - or what about one big round flower paper.

dawn-in-nz
01-09-2009, 08:15 PM
An any colour plain paper (maybe grungy) but this time make it smaller than the full page and around the edge have a cut out pattern of some sort so that the paper underneath shows around the edges and through the cut outs - the cut outs could be a smaller version of the shape of the pattern on the first paper - the edge of the paper could perhaps have a scalloped edge of some sort - or not.

LinJ
01-09-2009, 09:57 PM
Like the cut-out idea ! Or a paper with sparkle edges ?

(what am I doing suggesting flowers - doesn't sound like me at all!)

janetklm

It absolutely needs flowers...maybe even a cluster of flowers or some retro styled flowers?
And a pink bow like the one on the shoes would be nice too.

I think two pink buttons tied together with maybe that light green ribbon?

We really need more of that light green...I love that combination.

Maybe some tin dangles with ribbons of those colors. (I loved the tin in Tin Trappings)

shawsi
01-10-2009, 07:08 PM
Maybe tin buttons stamped with the same design as the delicate little white buttons with the pink daisies. Not the buttons with holes, the ones with the shanks so there would be some depth to it.

I'm new to this challenge (and a little late it seems for the start!) but what about a green ribbon with some flower accents in the purple (or vice versa?), or a green multi-picture frame (2-3) in a green with some accents on it matching the shoe's pattern? Beautiful papers so far! I can't wait to see the rest :)

journaling mat or torn paper in the dark green, but the middle of it is "scratched"/ worn away to reveal a lighter shade of the green (so journaling would be easier to read)

How about a big wide chunky ribbon either with print on it or in velvet in the darkest color or in the green but it should look weathered (old like with creases and the nap should be off. I am thinking it should look like it has been a band for a hat which aged)

Great frame!

just-pjz posted a thread in In Search Of/Kit Requests under the Product Info forum, paper quilling (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36148), Christine and Kim have both popped into the thread, but I don't know if anyone has taken up the challenge yet. Looking at the colors, I keep thinking of a deep pink quilling heart, or scroll (kind of like an S, but lots of circles at each end.

In the deep pink/purpleish color, a thin border, about 11" square maybe scalloped on both sides with small holes in the middle, or linked circles. More delicate, and nothing that would take over the page, but a great element to frame a page.

shawsi

I'd like to see a floral trim like this one,but in different colours to match the floral fabric

This is looking wonderful!!!! This is going to be perfect for my little one's pictures. I can't wait to buy it.

Is it time for a name yet? I was thinking: Pocket Full of Posies

Green or pink staples?

Paper clip or a pin with one of the pieces of lace or blingy flowers attached to it.

I love the round patterns in the first background. Maybe buttons to look like them.

Still would like something to journal on. Maybe with those same designs.

So I made a few changes - changed the colour of the paper tag and added a second flower but its all one element - and here are the group of buttons
One element to go

a pocket or envelope to "tuck" treasures into

A slide to go onto the ribbon that we could add a name to, or the date, whatever.

I love everything you added! I really like the idea of a slide, especially one we could add a name or date to.

Could the two flowers be separate? I love that flower so much, and I think it'd be great to be able to use them together or separately? (or maybe I'm just a control freak :) )

I think we need a little more "light" so maybe a light coloured (or white/cream) hair slide type of thing. You could make it a new type of fastner to clip pages/photos together with maybe a button or flower on it.

I just LOVE that flower! The more I look at it, the more I like it!

I'd love to see some sort of a single frame.
Ok last piece done!!- http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/freebies/gimmeaclue/2009_2_12.jpg

Lauren, whenever you start a new Gimme a Clue could you let us know in the thread of the previous one so that we know it's started please? I think a lot of us are missing them because we are subscribed to only that thread instead of the forum.
