First of all - a very, very happy 2009 to all of you. I hope it is in all respects your best year yet!
It was lovely to see familiar Heritage ladies at this weeks chat, and lovely to welcome new ones as well :) Welcome to heritage, hope you become regulars!
The topic for this week is "Generations" - a wide open theme - family trees, look a likes, family photos - plenty of scope! It is to fit in with the current theme for DSP Scrapolution: Themes & Prompts (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35872) - some of you asked where to find it - follow that link, which will take you to the Google Calendar (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/place/themes.shtml) - a great page to bookmark!
Post your pages in the Our Heritage Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=847), and a link in this thread.

Meryl, is the date wrong for this challenge? I missed the chat last night because I wasn't feeling well, so I don't know what's going on.

Well hopefully I'm not too early but here's my "generations" LO. I love the quote I found on the CD Scraps of Words: Family 2 that talks about Grandparents leading their grandchildren into the future - I thought it so appropriate when thinking about generations affecting generations.

This is such a beautiful page Mandy - wonderful to see my new Mandy Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_18&products_id=9597) used for Heritage. Its funny, when designing, one (I am sure I am not alone!) I sort of have a vision in mind about the feel of the kit (this for example was fresh, pretty, Spring) that its a total and wonderful surprise to see it used for "other" purposes! I have now seen 2 Heritage pages done with it and they are both stunning!!!
Please, do move it, or upload again, to the Heritage gallery for judging on Wednesday night - 10.00 pm est, judging is done from the weeks gallery uploads.
For those of you who have not seen, i have a posting bonus for Mandy Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_18&products_id=9597) you will see details here:

I've been away for awhile and I'm not sure what you mean by "It is to fit in with the current theme for DSP Scrapolution: Themes & Prompts" Can you explain that please? (I've looked at the calendar, but I'm not sure how to adapt that to my layout.)
Thanks!

Distant Cousins (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=297163).
I'm being hopeful that by including the journaling in the description then maybe somebody researching their/our family tree might find it and "Catch Up" with me.

That just happened to me! Someone was googling an ancestor and they happened to be in a picture on one of my layouts. He actually sent me a PM through DSP and we communicated through email and shared information and more pictures. :)

Welcome back Vicki! Your layout just needs to be "Generations" whichever way you want to see it. If you follow the actual links in my post above you will be taken to the Scrapolution page which i hope will explain!

I didn't get to do the family tree, but I did do a heritage page with a few generations on the page. Grandparents, Parents, Kids and grandkids

Meryl, I haven't done many heritage pages (yet!! - it is one of my aims for this year) but I did do one a few months back that fits very well into your theme - can I post that one up, or does it have to be a new layout??
