I really loved these bright colors.
no reason to go further, i loved these colors as soon as i saw them. I'm going to brighten the green a bit tho and add a good deal of white so it wont be too overpowering. I may even throw in some of the other sheet colors like the red and pink (in small doses).
backgrounds? I'm thinking fun and funky.
handkl
01-11-2009, 11:09 AM
I'd love to see the following:
1. A green one like the bed covers with the spots and why not a orange one too;
2. A dark blue background mixed with the light blue - not necessary grungy, but a maybe like splats of one colour on top of the other;
3. A colour block background, but messy and irregular blocks;
mcbowersox
01-11-2009, 11:42 AM
Awesome choice! I loved this as soon as I saw it too!
I'd love to see a polka dot BG! Maybe a matching stripe, as well!
wuvie
01-11-2009, 12:26 PM
circle inside a circle inside a circle with solid center
Paint splatters
overlaping bubbles
arrow pointing all four directions
mosaic type squares falling like tetrus (sp)
shawsi...I had the opposite problem...my flair card was really big...I've got it at a size I like now, but the flair buttons aren't as clear for reading as I'd like....I just kept trying, uploading, and deleting until I got a size that the buttons at least are somewhat readable.
background ideas:
bright multi color polka dots on the dark blue
the two blues look cool together, maybe the dark blue as the background and the brighter blue as an all over pattern... maybe all over swirls or flowers?
honeymoon
01-11-2009, 01:08 PM
Cool colours.
White bg with the other colours gunged/sponged around the edges or maybe the spots fading out to the edge.
Irregular striped bg with a mix of colours - maybe with some texture so that some of the stripes look like they are corrugated or raised up a bit.
Bg with little tiny stars and spots or little tiny flowers and hearts scattered across (the one that misses out could go in the backpack - see below).
White BG with crazy swirly stitching all over it, but with that thread that changes colour throughout the spool, so like a rainbow of stitching.
Planning ahead.... ;)
Requesting the Backpack now with spotty pages like the linen in all the different colours (or the ones that miss out on being in the kit) and the stars or flowers one that misses out.

Would some doodle art flowers be appropriate for this theme?
bamabreeze10
01-11-2009, 01:51 PM
I would LOVE to see a striped background - maybe the royal blue, yellow and orange with white? Something really crisp (not grungy) since the colors are so bright and crisp!
mariafer
01-11-2009, 02:20 PM
I am all for a backgrd like the sheets.
Another idea how about some mostly solid papers in the green or yellow with small minidots on the edges and like washed out towards the middle.
sammdc
01-11-2009, 02:43 PM
and some white elements like tubed flowers and plastic bubble buttons all white
mariafer
01-11-2009, 02:43 PM
One more idea... I am really liking papers that are almost a design in it of themselves. So I am thinking a half yellow half green paper. Split either in half or 2/3 that is grungy and more washed out in edges or inside.
Or another one is a blue on blue big dots with a swirl dividing the page and then some grungy white on the other side... And if not a swirl the a border of circles dividing it.
idtwinmom
01-11-2009, 03:02 PM
Wow! My very first colors and they got picked. I think the yellow could stand to be a bit brighter too (I had trouble pulling the bright colors I was seeing!)
OK, fun and funky was exactly what I thought of! Big flowers, Bold stripes.... They remind me a little of your Razzle Dazzle kits (which I love btw!)
popular choice here... so design like the sheets.

i'd LOVE some stripes, maybe fat and thin stripes mixted together kind of "painted" on like the polkadots
handkl
01-11-2009, 03:45 PM
Love that background Tina!
Now how about a combination of the blues on a background and a combination of orange and yellow with a hint of red on a background - not sure what texture or look to go with though
idtwinmom
01-11-2009, 04:11 PM
Love the spots - I like a stripe I think too. But then we also need some plain colors, maybe a hint of grunge, but not a lot.
bamabreeze10
01-11-2009, 04:13 PM
is there a way to make a solid color that looks like its been "sponged" on there? Kind of like that painting technique you see lots of people using?
wuvie
01-11-2009, 05:03 PM
Ok I admit, I am not a wild background kinda girl :o
but I like that one a lot. The painted look really draws me to it

01-11-2009, 09:58 PM
Are we still doing backgrounds? This makes me think of spring. Maybe little umbrellas on a background paper...all different colors. Or little boots.
I also like that color that is right next to the pink....maybe some kind of white on that color print. Very subtle.
Or just the opposite. A combed paper...do you know what I mean? Using all of the colors...kind of like a finger painting kind of look.
The darker blue would give it a stunning look. It would kind of set it off.

OMG where did I put my sunglasses ;). It looks so summery, just what I need, none of that icycles & snowflakes although I could do with a lump of ice down my back at the moment!
How about three round frames in different sizes, joined together & overlapping slightly, add around the edge of a larger circle which is smaller and off centre than an even larger one behind it - something like the three in this LO on the right around the large one in the front (which has a larger one behind it which you can't see in the thumbnail):-

Something for the corners that could be used as either page corners or photo corners.
If you ever do an add on pack a pin-wheel would be cool to go with this.
a cloud has been mentioned a few times...maybe with a silver lining? it would go well with the kite and balloon and the silver balls/rain :)
I'd like to see an element that uses the pretty stripe....hmmm, can't remember if it's been mentioned...a striped flower...like a tulip or daisy?
a striped swirl?
dawn-in-nz

Brackets in the same coloured stripes as the paper.
I think it needs a touch more of the navy blue, perhaps some buttons as Mariafer suggested.
An umbrella with the stripes all running outwards from the middle, like rays of sunshine.
A corner sun doodle with rays.
cool...like the striped umbrella idea, dawn :)
the striped brackets sound good too :)

This is wonderfully fun! I think it is definitely one of my favorite page kits. I can "imagine" all kinds of layouts that will soon show up in the galleries!
