Not a newbie- but these flair cards are making me pull my hair out!:help:
Could someone please :pray:please tell me what size to make the canvas so I can create my own-I did mine at 500px x 100px at 72dpi and can barely see it when I upload.
When I try to upload it in my signature it comes out the same height:confused: as the flair buttons and isn't legible. I have uploaded no less than 2 dozen times, different size
flairs- what am I doing wrong?? I have been working on this for 2 days.. :(

Are you adding it as a Signature Picture??? If so, it will be too short...you need to upload to a gallery then in your signature add a link to an Image using the URL for the gallery picture....let me know if this isn't clear...I ramble too much

BTW Sherry...I've been meaning to mention that I really like the style of your Flair Card...I may scraplift it soon (with plently of credit to you of course!)
I think that is a lot of people's flair issue.
Using the sig pic just doesn't work. You need to (like lmilgram said) upload to your gallery and link from there.

Also, the pixels for the kit are 160x480 for the kit that came with it (i.e. timeline, big circles and little circles) and the resolution will probably be better if you do it like a scrapbook page at 200dpi.
Otherwise, these wise ladies before me have got it right!

Thank you all for your help- I am getting closer...
I had been updating my flair by editing the photo in my gallery
when I did a new flair- I couldn't remember how to do it...
Next time I won't wait 2 days to ask for help- and in the meantime, I'll just do a "comb over" till my hair grows back.
Margie- When we introduce "new things" along these lines- maybe some directions could be included? It would have saved me a lot of time- and I am sure a few others as well.

we've updated the adding signatures tutorial to include flair cards!
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/signature.shtml
we'll also do a separate flair tutorial, although instructions are in the kit for how to do the flair cards. we'll get it all in one place though!

Great! I am sure I will need to refer to it in the future.
I do remember seeing instructions on how to make the flair-
but not- on how to upload and size it correctly in the kit.
Once again, it's great that you are so responsive to our needs-
we may not tell you enough, but we do appreciate it.

no problem, someone's working on it already! we assumed you'd treat it just like a layout with uploading and linking so didn't think it was necessary. it's already actual size so just edit, save, upload. BUT with the questions, we know it is, so we'll definitely get it up. the sig pic throws people off and it's a pain anyway!

Sherryva, you are not the only one who's been having issues with Flairs!
Come take a look at this thread.....

I have the card made and uploaded to the gallery. I right click and view image then copy the URL and put it in the URL field of my signature.
It then tells me remote file is too large.

IT is only 39 KB... what am I doing wrong?
use the IMG tags, not the URL :)

paste that into your sig, that should work :)

It seems to be working now.. woohoo.. Thanks everyone!
Have to admit, I had to ask a number of times to get mine to work both in the forum and the gallery - it would work in the forum but not the gallery - I sure did lose a lot of hair, too!!!

The flairs look great - as a late joiner can you tell me where you get the little buttons or do we need to create our own?
here's the main flair info
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35871
There is a starter kit with the flair pieces so you can make your own, and also tells you about the flair gallery :)
