The idea came from a combination of places. A few days ago, I took some photos with my phone (I do that a lot...2mp is good enough for the size stuff I like...if I need bigger/better, I have a 20D) of my hands in the shapes of letters. I got that idea from something I had seen someone else do.
Then I was reading through the tips here and saw that someone had taken some alphas and made commonly used words with them and saved them to save time.
Ah ha! the light bulb went on.
I made the original photos into tiles and then saved them both as individual tiles and as a single word.
