Ok, the other day I was at my doctor's and they had the coolest Kleenex box. I so wanted a kit made from it. I tried taking a pic of it with my cell phone, but it didn't turn out. So, anyhow, I went onto Kleenex's website today to try to find it. I couldn't find it, but I found two others I liked.
I'm going to the doc today and I'm going to take my camera. What a weirdo I'm turning into!

Fantastic colors!
Yes, you just have to do the two birdy colors as BGs. I don't know if they should be on a bg or as a separate element, but those little hearts just have to make it into the kit too!
sandygb
01-23-2009, 01:51 AM
I definitely love the idea of 2 BG papers that match the body of the 2 birds.
How about a white background with a bit of the dark pink grunging around the edge of the paper.
A solid light pink background paper with a canvas texture.
sueya
01-23-2009, 03:14 AM
I think a striped background would look good or perhaps a gingham.

01-23-2009, 10:46 AM

01-23-2009, 11:04 AM

White with pink and blue hearts
White with a pink swirl on the edge
Blue with the words "Love" written pink and repeated and perhaps in different fonts
idtwinmom
01-23-2009, 12:06 PM
Like the white with swirls, but how about a mixture of the pink and blue.
JenniferG
01-23-2009, 12:12 PM
You know what would be really cute, a thin striped background in the chosen colors...but faded, you know? So the colors aren't so bold, just there but faded. If you have enough patterned paper for now, this would be awesome for an add on. Stripes are needed, I think.
And I like the idea of a white paper. maybe you could add some smudges in pink around the edges and in the center.
mariafer
01-23-2009, 01:19 PM
Love the papers!
For more ideas... since so many people want white... how about a white one with hearts sprinkling down... some glittered some blue some pink... just down the middle.

A white paper with tiny confetti hearts and little stuff like you see there on the shirt between the two birds. Maybe swirled across the paper as if the wind was blowing it.
Tiny pin stripes useing all the colors in the swatches.

I think the final background should be black. Either patterned or not. I think it would wrap the papers up nicely.
idtwinmom
01-24-2009, 11:58 PM
Yep, the last paper needs to be black, maybe just a touch of the light pink somewhere. Maybe not an all over pattern, but something down one side or in a lower corner. Maybe a spray of little hearts and if not too close to the shirt, maybe a little bird.
shawsi
01-25-2009, 01:36 AM

shawsi
01-25-2009, 11:51 PM
feathers and hearts in the various colors on black, or even on white. The feathers would be more like down than the stiff ones. Very thin and airy. You could leave off the hearts.

Element suggestions:
1. A piece of thread with some jewels on it in the same colours as the kit;
2. Circle wire frame with some jewels on it
3. Light blue heart with a white scallopped edge
4. A white or black swirl stamp
5. Long black retangle frame (a little grungy though)
6. String of threaded hearts in the colours of the kit

3. Be My Love

I would love to see a rectangular stamped photo frame, with some fancy scrolls in 2 diagonal corners. I love stamped frames....perfect for graphic style pages. I would like it in black so we can easily recolor it.
honeymoon
01-26-2009, 07:33 PM
A journalling card the same shape as the stitched heart, but slightly bigger so that we could use the stitching on it if we wanted or not.
I like Sandy's idea for a stamped frame, but if you were to make it in two halves (diagonally cut) so that it could be used as corner stamps or a frame.
handkl
01-26-2009, 08:46 PM
That is exactly what I meant Tina!
Love Sandy's suggestion of the stamped frame and Fiona's suggestion of the heart journaling tag (both work into my earlier requests).
Other suggestions:
1. A collection of patterned ribbons layered on top of one another with similar stitching used on the heart stitching.
2. Staples to work with journaling heart tag if you don't use the stitch
I would love to see a rectangular stamped photo frame, with some fancy scrolls in 2 diagonal corners. I love stamped frames....perfect for graphic style pages. I would like it in black so we can easily recolor it.

There needs to be something more solid. Maybe three hearts joined together.
scattered hearts for Lisa and the dangling gems were my idea

So cute! I like the scattered heart/bead idea.
How about a wrinkly paper heart, kinda like a wrinkled valentine (since kids are always wrinkling up papers).
Also, a metal/metallic X and O like the paper, either separate letters or connected as one piece.
JenniferG
01-27-2009, 12:21 AM
Wow, you go away for a minute and when you come back, Tina's almost got the kit finished! Man you are fast!!!
I really like how this is turning out! Needs a word art....something gem-y. Maybe a simple Love word or some such thing. You could have it say I heart you (with a heart shape instead of the word.)
handkl
01-27-2009, 01:34 AM
Need that heart shaped journaling tag.
As for word art, just "bumping" my suggestions from earlier:
1. First Kiss
2. First Love
AND
3. I "heart" You (as suggested by JenniferG) - maybe you can work that heart so that we could use it as word art or extract it and use it for journaling only and then use the stitched heart and so on and so on.

It still needs that heart journal tab
I also like the X & O for WA, but done seperate so that we can play with where they go on the page
Teehee - thanks for the hearts!
JenniferG
