Question...how do you club members organize your Club Digital issues? Like the regular kits and things or do you keep them separate in a folder of their own? Do you keep each month together? I have tried several ways and seem to be still experimenting.

I keep my clubs in a folder listing the month and year. HOwever I've thought about moving them to my designer folders... I keep a folder for each designer at DSP.

Laura I'm the opposite to Samara :) I split mine up and put them in the designers folder :)

I split them up and keep all the kits alphabetically with the designers name in the file name, for example, Journey_LaurenBavin_digitalscrapbookplace. That way if I want to check and see if I have a particular kit or find a kit it's fast to find it alphabetically.

I don't have an awful lot of things yet, only about 60 kits plus elements. I organise everything by type. Kits I keep together, alphas, overlays, wordart, tags etc have their own folder. I keep the Club Digital together with the DET kits I need to scrap and then when they're used it put them in folder by type. I think, though, I'm going to have to Picasa it all soon, even though I don't like Picasa very much.

I should look and see if ACDSee can label like Picasa does.

Yes, ACDSee can label and it can batch rename (wonderful for digital photography) and resize. I leave the default resize settings for DSP layout size and just click to create a resized copy for uploading. It will create an instant slide show from a folder of photos and I love ACDSee as way to quickly enlarge digital photos to full screen size for sorting and deleting.

As I said, I keep everything by kits, but I do make copies of word art and alphas and put the copies in separate folders that would, for example, have word art from everywhere. It creates duplicate files, but some extra hard drive storage for me is a better trade-off than all the time labeling files and keeping it up to date.

Thanks Maureen! I love the batch rename feature of ACDSee, I used to use it to rename all my digital files. I haven't used it in about 18 months, but I think I better go back to it. Picasa left me highly unsatisfied in its functionality, especially compared to ACDSee.

I'm thinking of taking that approach to my kits. There are so many good alphas and about half the time I don't use them. I'm also considering labelling. Especially useful when I'm just looking for an element to fill a space on a LO, then I could just see those without having to delve into folders.

Here's my layout for July. I used the Heather Heritage kit and the linen texture. It really does look much better full-size. It didn't resize all that well.I added a semi-transparent color layer as well to soften the papers and match them to the cardboard frame on the photo.
