This is been on my mind for a while. Is there a way to close everything at once in the photo bin in PSE 5 without closing PSE? Sometimes I'll work on a layout, have bunches of stuff open, and then want to start a new layout. I have to go in a close the items in the photo bin one at a time by right clicking and hitting C. I just wonder if there is a way to close everything in the photo bin with a single operation, or if the one at a time thing I have been doing is really the only way.

Hi Robin,

That is the only way I have found to close a lot of things out, other than just closing out PSE altogether so everything shuts down at one time. Maybe someone else knows a way that I don't.

Okay - I went and opened up my PSE 5 and there is a Close All under File (keyboard shortcut: ALT + CTRL + W). It will close all your open files but does not require you to close PSE altogether. Does that help at all?

Awesome Mandy!

I use PSE all the time now but never even thought to look for that! :doh::doh::doh:

(That's pretty bad stuff for a PSE teacher! :o )

You rock!!! Thank you so much, but now I am feeling like I should have known that, or at least should have seen that (and I have looked before). Still, I now know and am happy about that. Thank you.

Not only does it work the same in version 6.0 ... most software includes that function (it's a common program call provided by the operating system so easy for the software companies to 'include' it ... as all they have to do is do something like a 'link' ... a call to the Common Files ...)

oops! did I say that outloud?:doh::doh: :rofl::rofl:

I better go play now!
