I am having some issues. When I take pictures on my Dig Rebel. The LCD shows that they turned out really nicely (bright) But when I work on them at home they come out dark. I know that on the laptop the angle of the screen can fool me so but in general they are alot darker than they appear to be when I take them
Example:
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2273&password=&sort=2&cat=500&page=1

Example 2:

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Liz M

have you had them printed straight from the memory stick? do they print ok?

could be that your monitor needs adjusting.

also, are you talking about how they print or how they appear on your screen.

hope that helps!

I just had a look at the photos you posted and they look underexposed.
What settings were you using?

Elizabeth dont be sorry pleasse :D . I often forget my settings  .
When the light is low or it's fading you need to adjust your ISO.
Iso is like film speed the higher the number the less light you need but you will get more noise.
If you havent callibrated your monitor ,that would be a good thing to do.
Sorry I havnet been around but my daughter being at home with her back is taking a lot of my time up looking after her, dressing her etc

i think the camera keeps track of your settings for you. thst is one good thing about digital.

the info should be hanging around somewhere.

in iphoto (that is where i import my photos) there is a place where you can see the INFO on the photo. there is photo info (like the filename) and also exposure info. so for any given photo i can go back and see what worked and what didn't!

look around for that info!

Elizabeth if you are constanly getting underexposed photos, can you adjust the exposure compensation on your camera? Is the rebel a Canon SLR? otherwise you can compensate in your image editing programme by playing with the levels, hope this helps some.
