well I tried to copy and paste from the last thread but could not figure it out. I am new to the forums and threads thing outside of school anyway.
so there are 3 I really liked from the last one. One had blues and a pic of a turtle. One had yellows and yellows flowers in a vase. The third had a "path..." in the woods and browns and greens.
Over all I would love to be a part of a beach kit. I live in Florida so we go to the beach a lot. Plus my dad is a sailor so we are out in the Gulf frequently. So the blues and yellow all inspire me.
hope I get to log in more with this one... lol

Lauren, there's a swatch that you wanted to do of mine that didn't win the vote, but Tina is currently doing a kit based in it. Would you still like me to submit it now, or wait a few Clue's before submitting it again? It's this one:
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/data/6620/Sea_Foam_swatch.jpg
(I love what Tina's doing with it, and would love to see what you do with it...besides, they would coordinate! And I'd HAVE to buy it because I just love those colors together!)

I love this one, called Pomegranate Stain:

And this one, which I've submitted before...but I figured you didn't choose it because of the plaid...but you don't have to do a plaid bg! LOL! (I should also let you know that Chris is creating a kit based on this, as well, since I won the Bag Lady. But I'd love to see what you come up with, as well. Like I said, you can never have too many coordinating kits!!! And I am partial to these colors as well!)

Here's one from me-- Gonna have to use Kathleen's template next time! And, it would keep me from picking out too many colors lol
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/data/6885/thumbs/ColorChoices1.gif (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showphoto.php?photo=303647&ppuser=124085)
Nanchang park (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showphoto.php?photo=303647&ppuser=124085)
Or, now with her template:
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/data/6885/thumbs/Swatch2.gif (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/../gallery/showphoto.php?photo=303649&ppuser=124085)
And, I know this has been addressed several times before, but I'm a slow learner. Can someone please link me to the explanation of how to get the larger image into your post?
mcbowersox
02-18-2009, 07:42 AM
No problem Raphne. We've all been there. . .
Go to your gallery and click on the swatch you want. When it comes up right click on it and go down to properties. In properties highlight and copy the URL (ctrl c).
Then while writing your post (go advanced) click on the 4th icon from the right (insert image). When you click on that paste (ctrl v) your URL in there.
That should do it! If it's coming out too big or too small that has to do with how big you are saving your swatch. But if you're using Kathleen's template you should be ok.
Hope that helps! If it doesn't let me know.

I love this color scheme. I think it will look great with some kits I already have! I love the papers also.
my ideas:
How about a mostly solid lime or yellow with circles made out of tiny dots, maybe have the pattern only in the edges and washed out in the center to a grunge. Or instead of dotted circles drawn circles (like the outline only in black) would be nice too.
I would also love a torn edge paper in one of the solids.

can't seem to find it now to quote but there was a post about a paint splatter type background. I like that idea, like on a cream canvas have several splatters of various sizes but not cover the entire canvas. If it is muted enough I could use it with pictures of my girls standing at the easel covered in paint with white paper in front of them. It is super cute and no one looks at it with out laughing. so maybe paint splatters just at the corners/edges???

:rofl:There is a lot of "stumping" going on with this kit!:rofl:
I love the paper with the ribbons!!
I like something in a circle. A frame, a circle of brads, a ring with beads on it.....

Here's a funky one...How about a ribbon flower. If you take tied ribbons like you have on the paper, and group them together to form a pom pom style flower that contains all the different colors of ribbons.
Or...maybe not a flower shape, but more like one of those gift package decorations that has curled ribbons trailed down....and held together at the top with a jewel.

I think a chain of paperclips in the different colours would look good
I'd also like to see some enamel brads or photocorners

Paper with ribbons.... FABTASTIC!!!!!!!
How about a tag with a paper clip to attach it with. Could be hung of the rubberbands or the ribbons or the holes in the paper.

I love Sandy's idea of a paint card like the strip of colours.
How about some word art like 'Colour/Color My World' or something with the word Colour/Color in it?
Or a barcode on a tag that says 100% Pure Colour or replace the word colour with something else appropriate.

What about a length of cord (the woven type - like on school hats), all jumbled up.
Going back to the office stationery idea:
A clear file pocket with the white band on the side with the holes for in the folder. Could be used to hold a photo or journalling. Might fit better in an AOP for this kit??
Strips of spiral binding - but like you are looking at a pile of spiral bound reports and they are all twisted in different directions (can you tell I'm at work at the moment ...LOL)

How about push pins in the colors of our palette.
A yellow number two pencil.
I was recently given a "Phone charm" from my DSIL, I has a cord loop with a few colored beads, a black braided chord (delicate) some chain, more beads and then a tiny silver bee at the end. Darling. Something like that might be cute...maybe not with a bee.

How about 3 strips of ric-rac in 3 of the 4 colors. Each strip a slightly different length, and placed together slightly crossed or unevenly, then stitched together so it can be used as a groupie base, or a mat under a photo or the frame.

I know you don't normally do overlays in your kits, but maybe you could this time? How about a paint stroked overlay, to look like we've painted our backgrounds or photos? Or it could be a stamp or two, if you don't want an overlay. I was thinking a paintbrush woudl be cool, but you have said before that you don't do 3d like that.
