Ok, so I know many of you already have many books by Scott Kelby, but this is my first one. I finally broke down and purchased The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Book for Digital Photographers. Now, I'm not a photographer...at least, not a professional one, but I thought this would be very helpful in creating photos that just POP! Since our scrapbook pages are about preserving memories in a creative way, especially those we capture on film, the photos are the most important parts of most pages. I want those photos to be awesome!

So I just got it in the mail and have barely had a chance to crack it open, but I promise that will happen once my daughters, whom I love so much, leave me alone long enough to get a good look.

Next on my list is the Down and Dirty Tricks book for Photoshop CS4, once it comes out.

Just thought I'd share. I've heard that Scott can have people laughing while reading his books, so I'm looking forward to reading software learning material that has humor...a rarity for sure!

Just be sure to read the Acknowledgements or Forward or whatever he calls it in that book... YOU can't skip it..

He puts important stuff in there like download information and other stuff you can't miss... And, you have to read it all, it's embedded in with other stuff...

So, don't start with Chapter one....

His books are great. I just got the CS4 one last week. Still haven't had a change to really sit down with it. I had the one for CS2 as well as a Down and Dirty tricks for PS7. Not only is there funny stuff bu some really helpful stuff.

I just had to read the intros. Hilarious! My favorite is the intro to Chapter 6: Resized. Just cracks me up! Cant wait to read the chapters themselves!!!

Let us know what it is like - I might have to request that the library gets it.
