That's right everyone... I want to see What's Happening with You & your LOs! So post a link here if you do any LOs using my kits so I can see why you all scrap...your Precious Babies, Wonderful Spouses, Best Friends, Furry Critters & Special Moments. I can't wait to see them!
I am also very eager to start a Challenge for all soon. But I want the Challange to be something YOU want so let me hear your thoughts on what you want!

Hi Heidi! You have terrific kits in the store! I spotted The Best of Friends Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9833) right away... it would be lovely to have a challenge with that to coordinate with the Scrapolution: Themes & Prompts (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35872) for next week. February theme is Relationships and next week's prompt is Friendss so it would be great for double duty layouts. :D

Well... I have to share some exciting news (exciting to me anyways). Deakon, my 3 yr. old, & I went to visit preschools the other day. And I picked one!! He will start in the fall going 2 days a week. And the BEST part is... 7:30am to 12:30pm. That will give me a whole extra 8 hrs per week with UNINTERUPPTED ME time!!! I don't know if I can wait till fall!!! Oh and... He's pretty excited too!!
Raphne

LOL Heidi, I think that's very exciting! Don't be surprised if you find a few tears that day too, though-- I know I did when my son started school!
Heidi
02-27-2009, 06:14 PM
When my 1st one went to school - no problem - I practically pushed her out the door. My second one - I follwed the bus to school & I was missing her alittle. So yeah, Raphne, seeing that he is my last one & although I am thrilled to have some time to myself... when the time comes... I will probably be BALLLING like a BABY!!

Hey everyone... I have to brag a bit... My oldest daughter, Raya, made it into her first play!!!! She tried out last friday & was called this weekend to let her know she got a part. It is a school play that they do every year. There is a lady in town here that has a number of drama productions & is a storyteller & a sub teacher at the elementary school. Anyways, every year she put on a 'Earth Day' Play at the school & only the 4th & 5th graders can try out for parts. Raya really wanted a part but I didn't know if she would get it because she is pretty shy & soft spoken. But she did! She gets to be the little bird! She was soooo excited! Now I am gonna have to go get some of those theater Kits for when I scrap the photos of the play!

OMG... I will never learn! I keep thinking that going on vacation will be just that - VACATION with relaxation. WRONG!! at least not with a 3 year old! We just got back from staying at an indoor waterpark. It was fun - but the relaxation part of the vacation doesn't start until AFTER you get home. I take that back... afer the laundry is done!
I did get some cute pics too which I will be doing a LO with soon!!

As for challanges... I hope you don't all mind that I am taking a short break from them while I decide which kit to do for my next challange. I am thinking that my next challange will start sometime next week. If any of you have a kit preference... just let me know & I will take it into consideration! Can't wait to hear what you all like!!!

I actually have a challange going on right now for 'Swirly Girly' but I have had a couple requests for 'Avocado Evening' so I jusy might have to do that one next. I will work on a posting bonus for that & it will depend on how well that one comes together.
Thanks for your requests, Igloowigwam & Moog! They are appreciated!!

As for Deakon... I was so excited to sign him up for Summer School for the 4 yr old preschool program. Well, I got a call earlier this week. He has to be 4 by Sept. 1 & he turns 4 on Sept 24th. I thought it was close enough but I guess not. I just know he is ready & would really have a good time & of course I was looking for a little "me" time. Oh well, he will be in school before I know it so I shouldn't wish him to grow up too fast!!

Heidi

Thanks, Ineke. Sorry, I'm not running an challanges at the moment as our Apprenticeship is up at the end of the month - 1 week away. But who knows what June will bring if I get lucky enough to become a permanent Designer. I will keep your request in mind!

What's going on with me....
We had a BAT in our basement for the last 2 days! Last night as I am sitting at my computer trying to finish up on a recent kit, I hear a 'sound' of wings flapping. I shrugged it off as nothing. But when I heard it again - I ran screaming upstairs. I just barely caught a glimpse of it & decided it was either a bat or bird. A bat seemed to be the more likely answer.
Hubby tried to shrug it off as a moth (as that is all he could find in the basement). NOT!!
We had the patio door open for a while hoping it would fly out. Not too sure though. Well, off to bed I went - NO WAY was I hanging out in the basement!!
Still needing to finish my kit tonight... kids & hubby in bed - I proceeded to continue my kit. After about an hour I actually SAW the bat flying around on the other side of the basement. I calmly walked - not ran - upstairs to tell my hubby. Not sure what he was to do about it, I said 'You NEED to do something'!!
What a sight we were!!! I was armed with a flashlight (as I would be waaaaay in back shining the light). Mark had a ice cream bucket, piece of cardboard, & a badmitton racket. Not quite sure of our plan... after locating the bat hanging from the rafters & standing there for quite sometime pondering a plan, the bat started flying around as we ran back upstairs. After repeating this senario several times, we decided we needed to buck up & stay down to watch where it went (there are LOTS of hiding spots).
At some point we decided to shot him with the bb gun. NO, that's not what I wanted to happen but I really wasn't comfortable sharing my basement with him either!
And so that is how the story ends...
And I can now go to sleep peacefully with sweet dreams (hopefully not of BATS)!!

OMG Heidi - You definitely have to take some basement photos and find a photo of a bat on the internet so you can scrap this story. It's just too funny.....as long as the bat isn't in MY basement!

Eeek! Bats goes in the same category as insects.... IMO

Bats don't scare me as much as frogs/toads do! I have 2 in my yard this year that are stalking me. One has been around every summer for 3 years now, and he just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Actually, I can take insects before little rodents any day. Toads, bats, mice, snakes, lizards - those are what freak me out!!
I was worried about the patio door being open too - worried that a toad might hop in. We have lots of those outside too!! So I know how you feel about those too, Rene!!

Yeah, I pretty much don't like anything that I'm afraid may run, jump or fly at me all of a sudden. But toads are definitely my biggest fear. I refuse to go outside at our house after dark. The only time I have been out there at night this year is on 4th of July when I was taking photos of fireworks, and that was only because I forgot temporarily. Then DH reminded me and said it would have been funny if while I was standing out in the grass taking the photos, if a toad had hopped on my foot. So then I was done taking photos. :D

Hey Heidi, I love how you give us two weeks to do your challenge. That is most helpful in scrapping and on the pocket book as well. I was wondering also if you would consider posting a schedule thread for your upcoming challenges, similar to what Nicole does. Something to think about, anyway. It's very helpful in planning ahead. :)

I did not know she had a schedule - Thanks for the heads up!! I am always waiting on the edge of my seat to see what kit is next for her challanges!!
I can try to tell you ahead of time... but it may change occasionally. I can tell you now that the next Challenge is going to be with 'Girl Crush' Page Kit (store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10876) & possibly another kit to pick from (not yet created). That is if I get it done in time.
And as for now my challenges are going run every 2 weeks. That may change in the Fall though. I will keep you all posted on that!!
Hopefully that helps a bit...

Thanks, that does help, even if it's only the next one or two. Nicole's says the same thing, that the schedule may change from time to time. So far she's stuck to what she's posted. And then when the first page is update, she posts "Updated" in the thread, which also helps. Thanks :)

Oh Man... What a busy weekend!! We had my sister's wedding on Saturday, the rehearsal on friday & the gift opening today. I am beat!! But oh how much fun it was!!! It was a small wedding & we all pitched in & helped out doing stuff for it - a REAL family event!!! I actually filled up my card with 635 photos - I have NEVER done that!! So now I have TONS of photos to scrap!! You will see bits & pieces of them soon as I am going to scrap them into an album for them. But 1st I have to make a kit for it.
And now its off to bed for me... if my feet can make it that far!!!
