I will be on page 1500 too.
I just needed to post that today marks six months since Donn took his last breathe it has been a tough day for me and I keep telling myself it's just another day that the date means nothing whether its 6 months exactly or not he is as much gone today as he was yesterday and will be tomorrow. So I am sitting here wrapped in Donn's jacket just missing him so very much.
Sending you lots of hugs, Caro!:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug: :hug::hug:

Caro Big hugs and red threads!
Hope everyone is getting off to a great morning/evening/choose-your-appropriate-time-of-day
And as recently as yesterday too...
I slipped in at lunch and posted that, but didn't have time to really rant. I mean can you imagine a major browser not supporting something as important as the A/A button???:annoyed: It makes absolutely no sense to me!
Mac addict though I am, I use Firefox. In defense of Apple, though, this is a function of the website's programming and not Safari's. Websites have to be programmed in a way that "picks up" a browser.
Sorry, guys, but I can do nothing except hop and skip through posts so I know absolutely nothing about what's going on. Inky, I did notice your post about being less than happy with one of your sons and thinking you must not have done something right. Whatever it is, it's on him, kiddo.
Best thing my son ever said to me in response to a dumb decision: put his arm around my shoulders and said, "Mom, if you want to feel guilty about anything my sister and I did before we were 18, knock yourself out. After 18, though, it's all on us -- we know what you want us to do whether we do it or not." Kid said that 20 years ago and I can't tell you how often it has eased my mother's guilt about things.

Now that I can say it without feeling murderous..............I have hunted high and low for photos prior to 1990. They are nowhere to be found. SOMEONE GAVE THEM AWAY. GUESS WHO. And why did he think they were his to give?
I so love this
I NEED A BREAK!!!!
I took a nap today and just might stay up all night again just to get something done.
Both girls (3 and 6 years old) are in Dance Camp. Those of you on Facebook may have seen the photos, or my albums of photos AND video on Picasa Web Album. Well, SOME of those photos just NEED to be scrapped...3 year old tap, ballet, and hula to start with. 6 year old jazz, tap, and hula as well.
HOWEVER...DD wants me to come to the end of each class to help her video the little performances, then the very tired youngsters come to Granma's to swim. Usually they either bring along a neighborhood friend or a few from here swim with them. They are tired, stressed and beyond crabby. I spent over $300 at Sam's Club today, mostly snacks and food for when they are here. I am going to insist they take naps after dance the rest of the week.
I WANT TO SCRAP!!!! I can't when they are here and then 8 to 11 I visit the OD and watch TV with him.
The good thing is that I am learning to use the pen and tablet for extractions.
That sound like some very productive time to me.

Mac addict though I am, I use Firefox. In defense of Apple, though, this is a function of the website's programming and not Safari's. Websites have to be programmed in a way that "picks up" a browser.
That was on my list of questions to ask you...:D
So we really need to let Margie know to let the website folks know so that every one will know that we know they want us to have what we want so they want to make the A/A work with Safari ...

I really am a slacker....
I finally got around to reading my emails that have accumulated over the last few days...
They were 90% DSP & 10% junk...
Of that 90%, 95% of THOSE were wonderful comments on my recent pages. :love2: But a few of them I feel I should actually comment on:
FROM GRANDMACRYS: on my Christmas Eve layout
"Good girl or suck-up?    "
:annoyed: Actually, no, just selfish. I didn't feel that it was fair, for the 3rd year in a row, for me to have to pack up 3 kids, load the van, cook a bunch of food, wait for Hubby to roll in at God-knew-what time, and THEN have to make the 3 1/2 hour drive to my SIL's house, UNload van, hang out til God-knew-when, help clean up, REload the van, wrestle 3 VERY tired & cranky kids and one VERY tired and cranky husband BACK into the van, drive 3 1/2 hours home in the dark, wrestle tired & cranky kids & husband into bed, UNload van, put away perishables that got shoved off on me, 'set up' gifts & stockings, and lay down for all of 2 hours before being woke up at the butt-crack of dawn to high-pitched squealing & screetching. Nobody else in his family has small kids, or has to drive as far as we did. I put my foot down in the most diplomatic way possible -- through guilt-trip. :D I just made it look as if I was making a huge sacrifice.
FROM GRANDMACRYS: on my Love U layout
"WOW!! Dix, you always seem to get the PERFECT shots!!"
Actually, I must confess that Summer took this photo. :o She's great, isn't she? :love2:
FROM ROSIEGO: on my Sunrise layout
"Can I come stay there? I don't mind getting up early."
Yes m'am!! As a matter of fact, ALL are welcome to come. :D Not much bedspace, but since Hubby isn't home most of the time, you can have mine & I'll take the couch! ;) I also have airmattresses, tents & sleeping bags available for use as well! So come one, come all!!! Y'all can do the sunrise thing...I've been there done that now, and may even make a t-shirt!!
Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful comments. You've turned a cruddy week into a better one. :love1:

I have decided I might just keep my mouth shut when DS comes home with his floozie. Thanks for all the wise advice and you are all correct I wont achieve anything by telling him she is not right for him - he has always had a fascination with the undesirables - so it is to be expected that he would find a GF like that as well. Hopefully he will realise before it is too late.

When I first open CS2, I have no problems with pulling in .png files. Then, after working on the layout a bit, if I need to pull in more .png's, I get some stupid error message saying something about "cannot parse file". WHY can it parse EARLIER, but not LATER??? It's the same freaking file type from the same freaking folder, and even the same freaking designer!!  :annoyed: :annoyed: The kicker is that I did not have this problem before I reformatted the HD.
And Googling brought up NOTHING for me. Even the Adobe 'support' page (HA!) was no help because they don't even LIST CS2 on their support anymore. Not all of us have the cash needed to upgrade. And my little laptop wouldn't be able to run CS3 or 4 anyway.
Sorry to vent...I'll quit now. :o
Dixie I have this same issue with CS2 on my laptop. I never had this problem with my desktop which has XP on it. I just assumed it was a Vista/CS2 issue. It is very frustrating and I have been unable to find anything that fixes the issue yet. So in all honesty I tend to not scrap when I got visiting family even if I do have my laptop with me.

Finally!!!!! I'm back online!
The service we had set up a few weeks ago gave up - DH thinks the Transceiver is bad. So last Friday we moved our bed up to the new house, then he left for a week long conference...not knowing I'd be living up here without any connection. I did everything he suggested by phone...even asking the guy doing our finish grade to take out a tree so our "line of sight" was clear. Did absolutely NO Good! POOR TREE!!
So out of things to try and the provider is no help at all (how does he stay in business?) - DH thought about our cell service - maybe we could get good internet through the cell phone system. [Frankly, I didn't know you could do that without a Blackberry or iPhone. Sure enough! A little more expensive, but faster and much more reliable. I just set it up and guess where I came first! :yahoo:
Hope things are going well for everyone...no way to catch up. SO, SO glad to be back! I was having withdrawals!

Ahhhh, the old reverse-reverse psychology!! Talk her up to him and how great she is/will be, how wonderful for him to settle down and start having kids, yadda, yadda, and pretty soon he is seeing more and more and more why he DOESN'T want her!!

2 questions:
1. what do you do if you bought a kit at full price, then it comes up as IOTW & you really want to add your LO to that gallery because it's one of your favorites??? have you ever re-posted that layout?
and
2. have to ever found an almost exact scraplift of your layout that's not credited ~ and you're almost positive it's a scraplift because 1) it's the same kit 2) the layout is very, very, very similiar to yours and 3) yours was posted first??? and then what if you found these layouts posted next to each other in the gallery and it's becomes very awkward????
well, anyway. . . DBL

I guess it is okay to add it to the IOTW challenge. I uploaded a layout in the general gallery once, and then about 2 weeks later the designer was featuring that kit so I just moved it to that challenge gallery, no problem.
I dont know about the other, do you think it is just a coincidence that they used the same kit and all. Is it in the same challenge? Did you use any special techniques that they would have had to copy to get the same look too? If they did, that would be a hint. Anyone we know?

take a look around the IOTW gallery Vallie ;) I'm curious what you think. Maybe it's not a scraplift at all. And anyway, if it is, maybe I should just be flattered.

Well, I think I know the one you mean. Yes it is very similar. If I were using that kit I am sure I would not have come up with the same arrangement as you did and that someone else did is very surprising! Maybe they looked up in the shop where it says to see layouts using this kit and saw yours. They may not be aware that they should credit you but they loved your design enough to be influenced by it.

Check this out - I live in such an absurd city:
"Tiger escapes magic act, ends up on Vegas streets
The Associated Press
10:32 p.m. July 30, 2009
LAS VEGAS — Police in Las Vegas say a tamed tiger that escaped from a magic act has been captured.
Police say the residents in the city's northwest section reported seeing the tiger wandering their streets Thursday night.
Police Lt. Les Lane says the cat belongs to Fernando's Brothers magic act. He says the cat got loose, but "they got it back into custody."
The cat was found in a resident's backyard.
Animal Control and Metro Police are investigating the incident."
I sure am glad that wasn't my neighborhood. Those animals are trained and very intelligent, but that doesn't mean that they are tame. It would be quite a shock to find a tiger roaming your backyard!!!

Jenni, read the rules of the IOTW challenge, I'm sure it says a new LO, I'm not sure, but I do know that if you move your LO across to the IOTW challenge gallery, it will fall in the same date range of when you uploaded it.... so it may just fall in between other IOTW kits and get lost.
On the second question, yes I've often seen something that looks like a lift of someone else. Generally if its a newbie, they don't know to credit a lift, till someone tells them.

Here's another puzzler for you computer geekies lurking about. I can't find a quick answer on google for this one either...
Seems I don't get email from gmail. A granny had sent me something that I never got, so whilst chatting on Yahoo, we experimented. I got the email she sent from another address, but not the gmail. I just figured it was a glitch and thought no more about it.
Now I have reached the conclusion that it's gmail because I'm getting emails sent to a group of us, but when one of the group replies to all, I don't receive the email and she has a gmail address. I only realized it when I'd get the next "replied to all" from someone and see the message in the history.
Any one else have issues with gmail?

IOTW doesn't expressly state that it must be a new LO. Anyway, I'm not actually entering the challenge for the draw. I just wanted to upload it to be able to share it again since that kit is being used. I love that kit & I happen to like this layout I did with it (I wouldn't bother with most of my layouts). I didn't just move it, b/c like you say Sands, it would just get lost with older IOTW layouts. I re-uploaded a new one.
AS for the scraplift, I'm regretting I mentioned it. I don't want to make it into it sounding like me having a hissy fit. I just felt awkward when I re-loaded my layout and it ended up almost right next to a layout that looked like very much like my original. Make sense? (oh - and it's not a newbie. She joined about the same time as me.) Anyway, I mentioned it because I felt awkward - like maybe she would think I copied her idea since in th IOTW gallery mine is posted after even tho I originally did the layout last December. is any one following this? really it's all sounding very silly to me now as I write it down. Please just forget I mentioned it.

Andrea got her hair cut on Monday, Eyebrows waxed tuesday, Nails done Wed and Makeup done today before we went. This photography studio was so expensive!!!!!! I know we won't be able to afford more than one or two so I came home and took some of her with her really good makeup. I will post them later.
BTW, they charge $395 for a 12 x 12 photo collage !!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
I would not be able to force myself to write the check. Are they all that high? I am going to call and try to schedule Andrew's soon..........I'll let you know how the prices are here.

Suzie !!! How great to see you..and reporting in from your very own abode !!:tup::hug::love3::love3:Come back soo and tell us EVERYthing !!

Just double-check your wireless plan's data usage rates. Our provider here would only allow 5gb/month, then charged $0.05/mb after that. Lord knows some of us go through MORE than 5gb/month just on this site alone! ;) I DO know of another option that was just brought to my attention on Monday, if you'd like to know more, PM me :D
Glad you're in the new place finally!

I've had non stop company all month but I'm enjoying the grandkids the most! I thought I could catch up a bit while they are having an afternoon nap, this heat here is so draining especially when they aren't used to it. Record highs all over the province.
Today Daniel is coming home too! I haven't seen my baby boy for 3 months. :)

Morning Leslie, you OK today??
We have Grandparents day at the girls' school today, it is always an uplifting day for us, the delight on the kids faces when they see us arrive makes us feel so thankful for our grandchildren.
I can't wait till I get to start attending these! :D

Nope!   We will NOT get sick of your Ploppers. How wonderful (in my opinion) that they new babies will be mysteries. And making both girl and boy Ploppers should come in handy, as surely they won't all come out the same gender! :D
Your family sounds so like my generation of my dad's family, Daggs. He was one of 11 and there are so many cousins, I couldn't even begin to name them or remember them all. There was even one Aunt who had a *first marriage* that nobody talked about, which rendered 3 children, whom I've never met!
My dad was 3rd youngest, so lots of my cousins are actually the ages to have been Aunts and Uncles. Very confusing to a young child!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning. I went to my car and turned around and went straight back into the house and got a jacket. It was 52 degrees F.
They said on the radio that this is one of the coolest summers on record for Montana. The wheat and corn crops are not growing and ripening correctly because of the cold. (We did have 4 hot days). The crops need a certain amount of heat to grow.

So, Tristan had tooth #2 loosen up the last time we were there. About a week later, he lost it. Being the good Grandma that I am, I wanted to send him something from the *Tooth Fairy*.
My Hallmark program had nothing under "Special Days" for the Tooth Fairy. (What's up with that, any way? :annoyed: :annoyed: That's a special day!)
So, I grabbed one of Carole's fairies and some greenery for the front page and created my own scene and made up some WA about loosing a tooth. Then I went searching the internet and found a *Certificate* from the Tooth Fairy, certifiying that so and so had lost a tooth on such and such a date. I thought it was pretty cute! :D Even did the very back page *created by, blah, blah* with a little tooth in the middle, sort of a la Hallmark.
Come to find out...when he got the Certificate in the mail, he told his Mom he didn't like it very much! :yikes: :yikes:
When questioned he said he didn't like that the Tooth Fairy was a girl!  Mommy patiently told him she and Teagan are girls, and asked if he likes them?
So, here I was thinking I was going to have to invent the *Tooth Troll* for the next lost tooth, but after talking to his mom earlier today, I guess not. :worried: :worried:
Seems the certificate is now being kept at the bottom of his bed in his *Treasure Box* where all his important stuff resides! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

They said on the radio that this is one of the coolest summers on record for Montana. The wheat and corn crops are not growing and ripening correctly because of the cold. (We did have 4 hot days). The crops need a certain amount of heat to grow.
   or maybe, rather :snowman: :snowman: :snowman: Burrrrrrrr!!
Chicago did NOT have one single 90° day in July!  Global warming?
think your going to get sick of my baby ploppers very quickly, but there is some wonderful new baby kits in the store and I just have to have them all

actually I do need a heap of baby ploppers as not only is my youngest son (25) and his girlfriend having a baby on 9th February, a summer baby for us downunders, but Heaths mummy is also due to have her second baby on 24th December, a little Christmas gift for Heath, and my second youngest brother and his wife as also expecting my 22nd neice or nephew in October, so I am going to be surround in baby's at the end of the year. None of these mums are at all interested in knowing the --- of their child before the birth, so I will have to scrap both in pink and blue:yippee::yippee:
We would NEVER get tired of ANYTHING associated with babies!
Did I tell ya'll that Ryan (oldest son) called and he and Annie are expecting their third? Everybody think blue thoughts because baby 1 is Ella and baby 2 is Olivia.....we need a boy!
:yikes: :yikes: Where is everyone?
Here I am!!!! *PQ is frantically jumping up and down, waving arms* Don't you see me?
I've been trying for most of the morning to get ONE ...yes just one LO done....lol.
Then to only have troubles getting it into the gallery. DSP lost connection?? Page not found??
Grrr...anyways. Prior to that I did manage to see a few of the great LO's done by most of you and they are all fantastic.
I do wish I could find the mojo to join in more often.
PQ....love love love (always have) your LO's. Congrats On HOF!
Sat here way to long, have a new part time job starting today just to fill in some of my time?? OMG...what was I thinking?
TTFN....hugs all!
Thank you thank you thank you. I am typing this from my current location........that would be CLOUD 9.

Congrats on the baby news Dags!
I think the thought of the tooth troll is totally hysterical! You have GOT to make a tooth trool! What a hoot!!!!
Chicago did NOT have one single 90° day in July!  Global warming?
They said we were getting our cold weather from Canada. So here is what I have to say:
HEY CANADA!!!! YOO HOO!!!! CANADA!!!! YOU CAN KEEP YOUR STINKIN' COLD AIR UP THERE!!!! DON'T BE SENDING IT DOWN TO MONTANA 'CAUSE I WANT TO GO SWIMMING!

2 questions:
1. what do you do if you bought a kit at full price, then it comes up as IOTW & you really want to add your LO to that gallery because it's one of your favorites??? have you ever re-posted that layout?
and
2. have to ever found an almost exact scraplift of your layout that's not credited ~ and you're almost positive it's a scraplift because 1) it's the same kit 2) the layout is very, very, very similiar to yours and 3) yours was posted first??? and then what if you found these layouts posted next to each other in the gallery and it's becomes very awkward????
well, anyway. . . DBL

This has probably happened to us all. One of my Mentees from the past got a comment on one of her LOs that said 'great lift'. she hadn't lifted and was 'miffed' We went looking and sure enough, found a LO that was similarily done with the same kit. She had not seen it....... so don't automatically think that it was stollen. Conversly, one LO of mine, had been added to favorites (of a member) but no comment was left on my LO! Then a week later, there was a carbon copy of mine in the gallery! I never said anything but it did bother me.

I wouldn't have thought anything if it hadn't been such a close, practically a "carbon copy" of mine. I'm not that quick to jump to conclusions like that and didn't "automatically" think anything. As you may recall, I even asked for a second opinion. Like I said before, I only mentioned it because when I re-loaded my original layout, the 2 layouts were almost side by side and I felt awkward about it. I'm sorry I mentioned the whole thing at all because I don't want people to think I'm that upset about it. It's really no big deal. But thanks anyway for your advice.

Can everyone understand WHY I like having my boys work on Saturdays???

actually I do need a heap of baby ploppers as not only is my youngest son (25) and his girlfriend having a baby on 9th February, a summer baby for us downunders, but Heaths mummy is also due to have her second baby on 24th December, a little Christmas gift for Heath, and my second youngest brother and his wife as also expecting my 22nd neice or nephew in October, so I am going to be surround in baby's at the end of the year. None of these mums are at all interested in knowing the --- of their child before the birth, so I will have to scrap both in pink and blue:yippee::yippee:

The girls all did a bush dance/linedance with their respective class years, then they came and collected us to do the Nutbush, the Macarena, and the Chicken dance with them...this morning, Im feeling muscles I didnt even know I had . Maddy (who is in her last year of primary school) and her classmates all had to plant a tree with their grandparents. Texas Chili Cook Off
INEXPERIENCED CHILI JUDGE
Notes From An Inexperienced Chili Tester Named FRANK, who was visiting
Texas from the East Coast: "Recently, I was honored to be selected as a
Judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last
Moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking
Directions to the beer wagon, when the call came.
I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili
Wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides, they told me I could have free
Beer during the tasting. So I accepted."
Here are the scorecards from the event:
__________________________________________________ _______
CHILI # 1 MIKE'S MANIAC MOBSTER MONSTER CHILI
JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick.
JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
FRANK: Holy ----, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried
Paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope
that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.
__________________________________________________ _______
CHILI # 2 ARTHUR'S AFTERBURNER CHILI
JUDGE ONE: Smokey, with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang.
JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken
Seriously.
FRANK: Keep this out of the reach of children I'm not sure what I am
Supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to
Give me the Heimlich maneuver. They had to rush in more beer when they
Saw the look on my face.
__________________________________________________ ________
CHILI # 3 FRED'S FAMOUS BURN DOWN THE BARN CHILI
JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans.
JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of peppers.
FRANK: Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I
Have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now get me more
Beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is
In the front part of my chest. I'm getting -----faced from all the beer.
__________________________________________________ __________
CHILI # 4 BUBBA'S BLACK MAGIC
JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or
Other mild foods, not much of a chili.
FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to
Taste it, is it possible to burnout taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was
Standing behind me with fresh refills; that 300 lb. Bitch is starting to
Look HOT, just like this nuclear waste I'm eating. Is chili an
Aphrodisiac?
__________________________________________________ _____
CHILI # 5 LINDA'S LEGAL LIP REMOVER
JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding
Considerable kick. Very Impressive.
JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit
The cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
FRANK: My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can
No longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed
Paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili
Had given me brain damage, Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring
Beer directly on it from a pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off?
It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming.
Screw those rednecks!
__________________________________________________ ______
CHILI # 6 VERA'S VERY VEGETARIAN VARIETY
JUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice
And peppers.
JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic.
Superb.
FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous,
Sulfuric flames. I ---- myself when I farted and I'm worried it will eat
Through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that
Slut Sally. She must be kinkier than I thought. Can't feel my lips
Anymore. I need to wipe my ass with a snow cone!
__________________________________________________ _
CHILI # 7 SUSAN'S SCREAMING SENSATION CHILI
JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
JUDGE TWO: Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of
Chili peppers at the last moment. I should take note that I am worried
About Judge Number 3, He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is
Cursing uncontrollably.
FRANK: You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't
Feel a damn thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like
It is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid
unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava-like ---- to match my
damn shirt. At least during the autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've
decided to stop breathing; it's too painful. Screw it. I'm not getting
any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch
hole in my stomach.
__________________________________________________ __
CHILI # 8 LESTER'S LAST OF THE RED-HOT LOVER'S CHILI
JUDGE ONE: A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all,
not too bold but spicy enough to declare it's existence.
JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor
hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge Number 3 passed
out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure
if he's going to make it. Poor Yank, wonder how he'd have reacted to a
really hot chili?

Aww! Jill, your day sounds like the best!!! Don't you just love those kinds of days?!?!? Then you can think about it and relive every little smile over and over! I love it!
Ditto on the birthday Raffie!
And all the babies!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!! We'll have to open a new gallery just for all the new arrivals! Congrats to all the lucky grannies who actually get to hold and snuggle those little bundles! The rest of us are so blessed that y'all share so freely!!
Glad you're back Kim!
I really didn't mean to start such a commotion with the *shaker*!!!! I just wanted PQ to have a nice boy toy while she was getting over being mad at Doug! Then of course I wanted her to forward him, just *gently used* to Ohio!
Those videos are hilarious! I watched several others of hers and laughed my behind off!
BTW - here's another little funny to keep the ball rolling (so to speak!) -
A man boarded a plane with 6 kids.
After they got settled in their seats a woman sitting across the
aisle from him leaned over to him and asked, "Are all of those kids
yours?"
He replied, "No. I work for a condom company. Those are customer
complaints."
Wish I could think so quickly...............................
hope your day is wonderful raffie !!!

Another funny --
To those of you who this still applies, we remember, to those of us who don't have this problem anymore..aren't we lucky! lol
This is hysterical - the more you read the funnier it gets!
This is an actual letter from an Austin woman sent to American company
Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets
rolling after the first paragraph. It's PC Magazine's 2007 editors'
choice for best webmail-award-winning letter
Dear Mr. Thatcher,
I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years
and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the Leak Guard Core
or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd probably never go horseback riding or salsa
dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach
in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be your
revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough
to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little F-16 in my pants.
Have you ever had a menstrual period, Mr. Thatcher? I'm guessing you
haven't. Well, my time of the month is starting right now. As I type, I
can already feel hormonal forces violently surging through my body. Just
a few minutes from now, my body will adjust and I'll be transformed into
what my husband likes to call 'an inbred hillbilly with knife skills.'
Isn't the human body amazing?
As Brand Manager in the Feminine-Hygiene Division, you've no doubt seen
quite a bit of research on what exactly happens during your customer's
monthly visits from 'Aunt Flo'. Therefore, you must know about the
bloating, puffiness, and cramping we endure, and about our intense mood
swings, crying jags, and out-of-control behavior. You surely realize
it's a tough time for most women.
The point is, sir, you of all people must realize that America is just
crawling with homicidal maniacs in Capri pants... Which brings me to the
reason for my letter. Last month, while in the throes of cramping so
painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I
opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing,
were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.'
Are you f------ kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny
middle-manager brain really think happiness - actual smiling, laughing
happiness, is possible during a menstrual period? Did anything
mentioned above sound the least bit pleasurable? Well, did it, James?
FYI, unless you're some kind of sick S&M freak, there will never be
anything 'happy' about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on
Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don't
march down to the local Walgreen's armed with a hunting rifle and a
sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.
For the love of God, pull your head out of your a$$, man! If you have to
slap a moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn't it make more sense to say
something that's actually pertinent, like 'Put down the Hammer' or
'Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong.'
Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective
immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have
chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will
certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your
brand of condescending bullsh@t. And that's a promise I will keep.
Always. .
Best,
Wendi

Me too Debi but then I started spotting a little occasionally. Today when I went for my regular monthly visit to the doctor, I had gained 15 pounds!! I freaked!! I said that I didn't know how that could happen unless I was bloated from this period I'm having. He said I didn't really *gain* 15 pounds, that he needed to check out my heart for congestive heart failure but then he wanted to know more about the period. I told him and again he said that it's not *real* but is a sign to get my uterus checked for cancer. Yikes! That scared me of course! So I go in a few weeks to have some test involving a type of D&C. I go for an echo-cardiogram tomorrow morning and an EKG Monday. Guess these two things put my pain in my legs and hips into a whole new perspective! Oh well, we will just have to see what God has planned! Prayers appreciated!

Debi, I love, love, love Austin!! I lived in Round Rock for 5 years in the 80s. Then I came back to my little ole small hometown on the lake in Ohio!!! Lake Travis is gorgeous but it has nothing on Lake Erie! But I loved all the hills and the blue bonnets in Texas!

What, my dear One, are D&Ms??????:confused::confused:
D&Ms are deep and meaningful conversations with your growing up children.
They are never fun. They want your advice and you to be very careful what you say. And they ae usually at night when you are trying to go to sleep. Advise about major amounts of money and about relationships generally.
