View Full Version : Almost a newbie

I'm not a newbie, but it has been so long since I have been here that I am probably a newbie to lots of folks.
I became ill in the first week of August last year. It was a fibro fog, and it lasted until the first week in Nov. This robs the mind and the body of any strength. After that, I got an acute case of bronchitis. Then, I started fallling. My legs were too weak to hold me up. In one fall, I cut a gash in the back of my head. It took 8 stitches at the ER. Since then, I have been using my walker (rolator). I am sorry I have neglected this group. But it is not the only one. I just couldn't use the computer. I felt dizzy and nauseated all the time.

I go this Friday for some tests. My dil wanted to start scrapbooking. I am so glad. I just have not been able to do much on my gkids scrapbooks. So, I gave here lots of things I could do without. I kept a lot of tools and things to make cards and LO's if I want to.

I hope to be back to normal after I see my doc, have these tests, and see my fibro doc. If those don't help, I am going to a neurologist.
Please forgive my absence, but it just couldn't be helped. Send an email occasionally so I won't forget to come back. My memory is shot.

My best to everyone. May this new year be your best. Place your eyes on God and His Word, not on the things happening in the world.
Sandra :love3:

 I had some tests today. I have diverticuloses or something like that. It can make my back and tummy hurt. Monday, I go to my rheumatologist. I want to see if I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in addition to the Fibromyalgia. Something is causing my legs to get so weak at times that I can't stand up. I am going to rule out everything I can before I just settle for being sick all the time.

You all made me smile. I thank you for all the comments. I hope to be able to help you out when I can.

Again, I offer my thanks for your understanding. This is about the only place I belong to where I can use my graphics programs. I want to get back into that. I have really missed it since the msn group broke up. I may have to do a new installation of my computer. I am checking it out today to see if that is the case. I have the best computers Dell makes, but I always seem to have the most trouble. I guess it's because my curosity makes me get out on the web too much. Gotta stay within the boundaries more. I will be here as often as I can. The emails help me remember. At 65, my memory is not so good anymore.
My hugs for everyone.

Penny, I am going to buy a SLR Nikon camera. I am interested in photography. I notices one of your badges was from a photography site. Is this an open site? I need to learn some things about using flash or not, and other things.

Again, thank you all for your concern. It really builds me up.

Sandra - we have some great photography moderators at DSP and some great pointers on photography HERE (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=292) and we have some classes at the DSP University HERE (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/classes.shtml)

We love our cameras here :)

Sandra, my flair button is for the Photography forum right here at DSP. Lynnie has a link in her post to it. If you have any questions about cameras or photography you can post in that forum. I didn't get my DLSR until after I started digital scrapbooking and found a need for it.

Hi, Sandra. Hope you are finding your way through the digital scrapbook maze. We just posted the next NKOTB (New Kids On the Block) - you might want to check it out. It's a fun way to get started scrapping and get a couple of free kits. You get feedback on your layouts and make friends along the way. We'd love to have you!

What is NKOTB? (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37990)

Girls, you make me feel better just by writing to me. My left shoulder and arm hurt badly (I am left handed). But I see the doc today and hope he will have a shot to help that. Otherwise, I am getting much better. Time does take care of a lot of things.

My cameras are all without good batteries. I can't buy one for my digital camera in this area, so I have to order one. I just hope I can buy the SLR before I need that.

I want to take some pictures of my hand made LOs to put on this site. I need to get started scrapping again. I will go to the photography site and hopefully learn.

Have a wonderful rest of the week.
Sandra
